Summer Silhouettes au natural

I've another little gift card to share with you today which I made for my Stampers 6 girls.  I stamped Stampin' Up!'s Summer Silhouettes onto Natural Ivory card stock.  My little collage is stamped in Early Espresso (stamped off first for the leaves) and Cherry Cobbler.  My panel is mounted onto Cherry Cobbler and the card base is Very Vanilla.

And for this months little gift, I made a gift box to match with some choccies inside.

The Friday Mashup is looking for gift wrapping so I'm going to pop this in over there.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
  1. Make a project using "the inspiration photo".
  2. Or Make a "Gift project".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "project for a gift using the inspiration photo above"

How are you getting on along with your gift wraping.  Mine is all sitting in bags waiting to be wrapped!  I see a date with the carpet, a bottle of wine and a lot of sellotape!

Another Snow Much Fun

I love the snowmen in the Snow Much Fun set.  They are so easy to work with and have been perfect for me to use for my commission cards.  This is another in a set for my Aunt to give to her grandchildren.  This time, her teenage granddaughter, so I've given him a more grown up feel and trendy colours.

Don't you love purple and green together?  I've used Certainly Celery and Perfect Plum on my card today.  The background panel was embossed with Perfect Polka Dots.  I stamped my snowman in Marina Mist then punched him out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.  I've coloured him using Stampin' Write Markers from my subtles pack.  He has a little sparkle on his buttons and pom pom from using Silver Dazzling Details Glitter Glue.  I attached him to the main panel using Dimensionals.  "Granddaughter" and "Merry Christmas" are from For My Family and I used the Decorative Label Punch to punch them out.  Then I attached them under the main panel.

This weeks cue card from CASology is Time

It took me a bit of time to think about this.  Then I thought about taking time out.  So my card is about taking time to enjoy the simple things in life such as playing in the snow, sledging, snow ball fights, building snow men.  I'm the first to complain when the snow arrives.  It's difficult to get about and it's cold and I hate driving in it.  But it does make us all slow down, literally.  I've had great fun days with my kids doing all those snowy activities when adults can also be kids again.
When's the last time you sledged down a hill?

Ok enough rambling and having said all that please don't snow yet!!!

I'd also like to enter this into Addicted to CAS which has a code word of Snow.

Thanks for your visit.  Keep cosy. x

Broadsheet Alphabet Monogram Card and Gift

I've a little 3" by 3" card to share today.  I made them for my current Virtual Hostess group when they started the club back in October.  For some reason I forgot to post them.  I also made this little gift, a covered note pad with a magnet on the back.  Very handy for noting down a shopping list or their next order for Stampin' Up!.  Each one was personalised with their monogram on it.  Wouldn't this make a lovely gift for a teacher, colleague or friend?

The card is Sahara Sand with a panel of Whisper White.  I stamped Circle Circus in River Rock.  The monogram is from Broadsheet Alphabet and stamped in Gumball Green on Whisper White with a mat of Garden Green.  The notebook is the same but with a PC typed title and Garden Green as the card stock base.

Hope this gives you a little inspiration.  If you would be interested in joining my Virtual Hostess Club then drop me an e mail - ails300@btinternet.com.

I notice that this fits in nicely with the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches so I'm entering it over there.

Thanks for dropping in past, I always appreciate your visits. x

Glimmery Ornament Keepsakes

A very sparkly glimmery card today.  I love this Silver Glimmer Paper.  It adds loads of sparkle and no mess plus super quick too.  Just what we need to add sparkle to our projects at this busy time of year.

I've used the colours from Dynamic Duos this week which are Midnight Muse and Silver.  You can also bling it up.

I've used Midnight Muse as my base card and made a ribbon banner from Brushed Silver card stock.  Then dressed it up with the Silver Glimmer Paper.  My ornament is stamped in Midnight Muse and cut out with the corresponding Holiday Ornament Framelits.  It's attached with Dimensionals.  And for extra bling some Basic Rhinestones on the ornament.

I'm also going to add this to Less is More which is glamour and glitz week.

Reminder we have some promotions ending on Friday, do check them out I'd hate you to miss out!

How's your week going?  I'm in headless chicken Christmas panic mode but it all gets done in the end, right?!!

Take care. x

Snow Flurry Tag

Stampin up Snow Flurry in silver glimmer paper on a tag

Good morning.  We have a frosty morning today so I feel the colours of my card are quite appropriate.

I'm so behind with my Christmas cards so when I saw Less is More this week is Glamour and Glitz I knew what I wanted to do.

I have the gorgeous Snow Flurry Die from the Autumn/Winter catalogue ( do you realise that there is just over 2 months left on this catalogue?!  Where is time going?).  I die cut the snowflake out of Silver Glimmer paper and the smaller one from Whisper White.  I then attached them to a Whisper White tag decorated with a panel of Bashful Blue with a strip of Night of Navy.  How did I get my curve for my tag?  I cut the Whisper White to 2 1/4" so slightly smaller than my 2 1/2" Circle Punch and  threaded the card through the circle of the punch so only one edge would cut.  My card base is the subtly sparkly Shimmer card stock.  That leaves my sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set.  You can never have enough sentiments I say!

Hope your day turns out merry and bright and not shimmery with frost. x

Supplies Used
All Stampin' Up!

Card - Shimmer, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy

It's Snow Much Fun with Stampin' Up!

My card today is this fabby fun image from Stampin' Up's Snow Much Fun.  Isn't he brill?

I stamped him in Night of Navy, then coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers.  He's standing a top a snow hill created with torn Whisper White paper and sponged ink.  I added Grandson from For My Family and punched out with the Modern Label Punch.  The little sentiment at the bottom is also part of the Snow Much Fun stamp set.

This card is for my Aunt to give to her Grandson.  Hope she likes it.

See you next time. x

What do you do with your Ribbon Slides?......

Stampin Up Ribbon Slides used as Baubles hanging from branch made with Lovely as a Tree

..................make them into baubles, of course!!

I had another idea for Less is More which this week is Hardware.  I had these gorgeous little Ribbon Slides and wondered how they would look as baubles on a tree so I had to try it out.  What do you think?

I used the pine from Lovely as a Tree as my branches and stamped in Gumball Green, my new fab colour for Christmas green!  I attached my slides to 1/8" Black Taffeta Ribbon with mini glue dots.  if I had had the Real Red in this ribbon I would have used that as my bows but as I don't I improvised instead.  I used the little bow from Create a Cupcake and fussy cut it out.  Yep I even cut into the middles of the loops!

My sentiment is from Delightful Dozen only partially inked up with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.

So will you have a go? x

French Foliage Thinking of You

Finally I'm here with a card for Less is More, later than I would have liked.

Our challenge from the lovely Limettes is to include HARDWARE on your card.  Mines is in the form of this lovely Brushed Bronze button currently available in the Stampin' Up's Autumn/Winter catalogue.  I bought these buttons specifically for autumn cards and also scrapbook pages.

I used my favourite leaves - French Foliage.  A little rolling and tapping in Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke and Riding Hood Red.  I stamped the sentiment from Sincere Salutations (now retired) in Riding Hood Red.  A little Linen Thread crossed through the button finishes it off.  Did you notice my card base?  It's the lovely Natural Ivory Card perfect to carry on the nature look.

Hope your week is stress free.  Take care. x

Simply Frosty Friends

I made these cards for a client.  She wanted something for Christmas but they had to be very simple.  So I reached for Stampin' Up!'s Frosty Friends.  These are so cute they easily carry a card on their own.

The Rich Razzleberry suits her salon colours.  I've teamed it with Sahara Sand and used a blender pen to add little bits of colour.

Very simple, very easy.

How could you not fall in love with these little guys?!!  Happy Crafting x

Stampin Up's Summer Silhouettes Thank You

Stampin up Summer Silhouettes collage on Natural Ivory with Cherry Cobbler

Good morning.  Have you got fun things planned for today?  I'm off to my exercise class this morning but as I haven't been for a few weeks I'm not sure what state I'll return in!! Lol

My card today is for two challenges.

 CASology - Cue word Thanks

Dynamic Duos - Sahara Sand and Cherry Cobbler

I've been loving playing with Stampin' Up!'s Summer Silhouettes and this colour combination is just fab for it.  I've made a few cards in this style and I'll get round to sharing them soon.  I've stamped onto Naturals Ivory Cardstock.  This is a slightly heavier based card with a creamy warmth and natural speckles through it.  I added Basic Pearls to my flowers and the panel is attached to a Cherry Cobbler base.  I punched one edge with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  My sentiment is from Curly Cute stamped in Cherry Cobbler onto the Very Vanilla base.

Are you getting that Christmas feeling yet?  My daughter practises her piano in the morning before going to school so as I type I'm listening to Oh Christmas Tree.
Very festive!  x

Stampin' Up!'s Mixed Medley snowflake

Good morning everyone.  Hope you are all well.  Another Christmas card to share today.

This one uses Stampin' Up!'s Mixed Medley which is a super hostess set in the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

Want to know what a hostess set is?  This is an exclusive section of the catalogue where the sets are reduced so your hostess pounds stretch further.  You earn hostess pounds with a qualifying order either individually, through collecting orders from friends/family or by having a party.  Each member of my Virtual hostess club is also a hostess for one of the months.  It's simple really.  Would you like to take part in being a hostess with the mostess?  There's a super promotion on just now rewarding qualifying sales with free ink pads.  Have a look at the Ink-credible flyer on my side bar.

I've made my card today with CAS-ual Fridays in mind which this week is - so torn.

CFC78- Create a Clean And Simple project that has something torn on it.
Tear that cardstock, designer paper or even felt. Get creative and tear it up :)

I've used some torn vellum for my Curly Cute greeting.  I stamped it in Pacific Point.  The background is the snowflake from Mixed Medley stamped in Tempting Turquoise.  I attached the vellum with a couple of Mini Glue Dots and added a Basic Rhinestone on top. I then sat the panel onto a mat of Pacific Point before adding to my Bashful Blue card base.

Back to normal today.  Both children are in school.  Time to get some housework done.  Thanks for taking the time to drop in past. x

Broadsheet Alphabet Joy Christmas Card

A Christmas card using Stampin Up's Broadsheet Alphabet for JOY and Red Glimmer paper

I've been wanting to join in with the CASe This Sketch challenge since it started.  They are already on Week 5 and finally I've found the time to join in.

Here's the sketch

I've used Stampin' Up!'s Broadsheet Alphabet to make the word Joy stamped in Old Olive.  Here's a little trick for lining up your letters.  I scored a line to follow!   Then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig.  The scored line also helped when lining up my strip of Red Glimmer paper.  Have you seen this paper in the catalogue yet?  I can't express how sparkly it is.  It's a joy every time I open my drawer!! I love a bit of shiny shiny!

It seemed a little bare so I added tiny snowflakes from Chock Full of Cheer.  I stamped the strip in Old Olive then punched out with the circle punch from Itty Bitty Shapes.  It fits them perfectly.  You wont be able to see from the photo but they are attached to Dimensionals

Well it's a dull rainy day here so best just stay in the craft room and get more cards done.  How are you with your Christmas cards?  All finished?  All written????

On the naughty step twice!!

Stampin Up Aviary set with cages and birds hanging from Borderline Branch Merry Christmas from our house to yours

Oh dear I was in such a rush to join in with Less is More on Saturday, I must confess I completely missed the LARGE letters saying ONE LAYER. Doh!!

Thanks to all the lovely people who still commented and bless you, you are so kind, no one had the heart to point out my error! Lol!

So to correct my error I'm entering two cards to make up for it.

The first uses the little birdies from Stampin' Up!'s Aviary set again but this time I've used their cages as their houses.  Look they are saying Merry Christmas to each other!

The branch is from Borderlines (now retired).  I stamped it in Gumball Green and gave it some red berries with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig a lot on this one to position the cages, the birds and my Sentiment, which is from Chock Full of Cheer.  This is stamped in Cherry Cobbler along with the cages.  I hand wrote From our house to yours underneath using my marker.  It's great being able to match up inks this way.

The birds are coloured with Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker and a little Real Red on the Robin.  Doesn't he make a fab robin?

So unsure if this would get me completely off the naughty step (cages not houses) my second card hopefully will.

Stampin Up Wheel Neighbourhood houses with drawn Christmas lights and glitter for snow

This is using the Stampin' Up! wheel Neighbourhood.  The only stamp that I have that actually has houses on it.  I used my wheel guide and rollered the houses in Basic Black.  I then doodled a couple of wreaths, a christmas tree and fairy lights onto my street using Gumball Green and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers.  I added glitter for snow along the roof tops, steps and bushes with my Versamark Pen, Heat and Stick powder and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

If anything my mistake has resulted in 3 more card for my Christmas pile yipee!  Am I off the naughty step yet?

The children have an In Service day today and my daughter has a friend over for a sleepover.  It's sleety rain outside so in door entertainment required. Must go and see what we can think up. x

Supplies Used

Card - Whisper White
Ink - Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Stamp - Aviary, Borderlines, Chock Full of Cheer, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Pennant Parade from our house to yours

Hello.

Our challenge this week from Less is More is houses.

I really need to get cracking on some Christmas Cards.  With this in mind, I decided to use these Christmas trees from Stampin' Up!'s Pennant Parade as my houses and the little birds from Aviary were perfect to populate them.

I typed my sentiment on the PC using Scriptina for Merry Christmas and Footlight MT Light for the second part.  The bird on the bottom tree is stamped directly on the card base using Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write Marker.

I stamped the trees using Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green, then cut out.  The bottom tree is popped up on a Dimensional.  The top tree is glued directly to the card base with the little robin popped up on a Dimensional.  I inked him using my Stampin' Write Markers too using Chocolate Chip and Real Red.

Thanks for joining me today.  We've had a busy week in our house.  Starting with an enjoyable trip down to Glasgow to see Michael McIntyre.  Very funny man.  Then with visitors.  Back to normal as much as we can be at this time of year!!

Hope you are keeping calm in the run up to Christmas.  x
