Take care with Joyful Tidings

Switch of direction today.  I'm back with Christmas.  The reason is, I love the colour challenge over at  Merry Monday.

I've used a Basic Grey card base with a mat of Cherry Cobbler and a panel of Whisper White.  

I stamped the tree from Take Care minus the leaves by colouring the stamp directly with a Basic Grey Stampin' Write Marker.  The sentiment is from Christmas Greetings and stamped in Smoky Slate.  I've adorned my trees with some ornaments, punched using the Merry Minis Punch pack and then added some Basic Rhinestones for sparkle. 

I'm rather pleased with the result.  It was nice to dip back into Christmas for awhile especially  as we are zooming towards Easter.  My goodness it's April next week!  Only a few more days left of Sale-A-Bration and the Best of series.  So do get in touch of you don't want to miss out.

Hello Baby Blessings!

Happy Saturday Evening!  

I'm flying in past with my card for this week's challenge over at  Less is More which has a theme of "New Baby".  

I decided for my card to go with neutral cards as last year I had plenty baby girl cards but all the new babies in the family were boys! 

So I've started with a Crumb Cake base and added Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron as accent colours.  The designer paper is actually from the Christmas set - Seasons of Style.  As you can see a super set of double sided papers and not just for Christmas.  I mounted it onto a mat of Pear Pizzazz.  

The tag is Whisper White with the nest from Take Care stamped in Crumb Cake and Blessings stamped in Pear Pizzazz.  The eggs are stamped in So Saffron and popped up on a Dimensional.  The ribbon is 3/8" Pear Pizzazz Taffeta.  I also attached the tag with Dimensionals. 

The sentiment is from Sweet Essentials and stamped directly on the card base in Crumb Cake.

Wishing you some early Christmas Cheer

Have you missed me?  

Well I'm finally back in time to wish you some early Christmas Cheer.  Oooh it's hard to get the old mojo going again after a long break but I'm happy with my attempt. 

This is a card for the Less is More challenge which is to do a Christmas card with a bird.  

I started with the tree from Take Care and turned it into a branch.  The branch is firstly embossed in black and then again in white to make the snow.  I used a Versamark Pen so I could add the snow just where I wanted it.  The branch was then fussy cut out.  

The little red bird comes from retired Stylin' Snowfolk and was also fussy cut out.  Both the bird and branch were attached with Dimensionals over a panel of Whisper White embossed with Polka Dot and mounted onto Basic Black.  The card base is Real Red and I stamped Christmas Cheer from Sweet Essentials in Basic Black. 

So hoepfully, fingers crossed, I'm back in crafting mode especially as I have all my Christmas cards to do!
