Butterfly Smiles

Another for Less is more 3 shades of the same colour.  This one has Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.  I used the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri and the sentiment is from Petite Pairs.  I added a few Basic Rhinestones and some glimmery glitter to the butterflies.

Hopefully this photo shows the sparkle.

Have a sparkly day. x

Flowers and Butterflies

Lovely to pop in and say Hi.  Hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

I have a card to share which is for two challenges.  Less is More has a sketch for us to follow this week.  You can see it below.  Also Colour Q which has a fab colour combo.

I started by punching a piece of Crumb Cake with the 2 1/2" circle punch then rounding the corners.  I added 3 Petite Petals in Elegant Eggplant punched out.  I filled the middles with Daffodil Delight punched out using Itty Bitty Shapes.  A Basic Pearl to the centre finishes off the flowers.  The butterflies are from Papillon Potpourri and stamped in Pear Pizzazz and then punched out.  Elegant Butterfly punch gives a Pear Pizzazz mat to one of the butterflies.     As the flowers have a little dotty pattern, I used my Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write Marker to add dots round the centre of my aperture.  The sentiment is stamped in Elegant Eggplant and is from Sweet Essentials.  A sweet sentiment set indeed!

Flowers are appropriate today.  Yesterday I took my Dad and the kids for a run out to a garden centre.  First stop was to have a coffee and some freshly made pancakes with ice cream then we chose some flowers for our pots.  The kids decided on bright colours so we have reds, blues, purples and oranges.  My daughter planted them up today whilst my son washed the cars and power washed the patios.  They are both keen to earn some extra pocket money just now.  Wonder if I can persuade them to do the weeding and how much they would charge?  Lol!

How has your weekend gone?  Have you had any extra helpers?

Till next time take care.  x

Flitting in with a Butterfly Bookmark

Hello there!

I'm flitting in with a pretty butterfly bookmark.  I made this for my lovely Stampers 6 ladies who take part in my Virtual Hostess Club.  You can see information on it on the tab at the top of my page.  And I have 1 place left for the new club starting in October so drop me a line if you want to join in.

Each month I like to surprise them with a little something something!  This month I made a bookmark using the two sets of In Colours.  One set on one side and the other set on the back.   Sometimes it's easier to match your colours when you see them stamped.  At least that's what I think and I hope they will find it a handy tool as well as useful as a bookmark to keep their place in their catalogues!

The stamp set is Papillon Potpourri.  It has the cutest range of butterflies.  3 small and 3 larger.  I used the small on the bookmark and a larger one for the card. I was going to add more butterflies to the card but loved the simplicity of just the one with a Basic Rhinestone embellishment.

The sentiment comes from Happy Day.  I think this set has seem really useful sentiments in it which are great for cards but also scrapbooking.  Also you could just colour the one word.  For example on my card I could have just said Hello.

I'm trying to set up a scrapbooking class locally which would be kit based.  So if you are interested in "Scrapping your Memories" drop me a line or give me a call for more details.

Did you like the butterflies?  I'm excited to tell you that you can grab the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and matching Bitty Butterfly Punch in a bundle with 15% off!

Have a look here to see full details.  This promotion runs until end of September.

There's an overlap with the buy 3 get 1 free promotion on the designer series papers and the single stamps promotion so there's still time to take advantage of these offers too if you hurry!

And as if that isn't enough the new Seasonal Catalogue also launches today.

Flip through the virtual book here.  Lots of lovely goodies to get you thinking about your autumn/winter events.

Rather a long post today.  Hope you see some things that you like.  Happy crafting!  x

Stampin Up's Papillon Potpourri Embossed

Said I had another idea for Less is More and here it is.  The challenge is to create a card which is one layer and to use a coloured card base.  No white, ivory, black or kraft allowed.

I love seeing white on coloured card and thought Papillon Potpourri would look fab on this pink.  So I embossed some butterflies in White along with the Curly Cute sentiment.  I also embossed one of the little butterflies repeatedly in clear and added some teeny tiny itty bitty Basic Pearls.

How's your weekend been?  Hope you managed to fit some crafting in.
