Happy Valentine's Day - Bloomin' Love

Happy Valentine's Day

From the new Spring/Summer catalogue comes Bloomin' Love.

I made this for my hubby so toned down the girly look by choosing Crumb Cake and Garden Green as my colour palette. Notice the designer paper matches the stamped border.  Love how easy it is to co-ordinate with Stampin' Up!

The heart was die cut twice, once in Garden Green and again in Whisper White.  I then snipped the white flowers and added them in to the green heart.   You could then embellish the flowers further but I didn't want it too frilly.

Loving the delicate lacy feel to the heart but even more so that it is made up of flowers and leaves.

Are you enjoying a lovely box of chocs or perhaps a glass of bubbly, maybe going out for dinner with you loved one?  No, me neither, on a stupid diet!

Ah well a beautifully made card doesn't put calories on! Lol!

Quilting Sisters

A friend of mine had a special birthday a few months back and this is the card I made for her. You can guess she likes sewing so the image was just perfect.  I added a few hexagons at the side to further develop the quilting theme.  The image and stamps are from Art Impressions. I coloured them with Copic Sketch Pens. The card stock and designer papers are all from my Stampin' Up! stash as is the cute button.

Enjoy your weekend.

Flower Shop Note Cards

A cute set of note cards for any occasion and so quick to rustle up.

I made these the same size as the front of a normal card blank so they slip easily into an envelope.

The base is Marina Mist card with a Whisper White panel.  I added a strip of Designer Paper, the delicious Something Borrowed (retired). Although this paper series was in the wedding section, I love to show that it can be used for any occasion.

The flowers are stamped from Flower Shop and punched out using the Pansy Punch.  You might not be able to tell from the photo but I used two different coloured card stocks for the flowers - Soft Sky and Pool Party.  The flowers were stamped in Pool Party and Marina Mist. The front flower is popped up on a Dimensional and both have Basic Rhinestone centres.

These are perfect for dropping a little note or thank you and being only one side won't cost an arm and a leg in postage!

We had a snowy morning but all gone by this afternoon.  However very cold, windy and wet.  Brrrrr so glad to be inside all cosy and getting crafty!

Painted Petals Simply Done

I made this card a while back when I was recovering from a shoulder injury.  You don't realise how much you use it until you can't! I had no choice but to keep the card simple.

I've used the delightful set, Painted Petals, sadly retired now. It has a lovely sentiment to send to a friend.

 Hope you enjoy.

Another Balloon Card

I have another balloon card to show you from the Stampin' Up! party I was demoing at recently.

This one has only one balloon drifting with a string that says Let us Celebrate.  I've sponged the stars again using the template.  The shading on the balloon and sentiment are also embossed in silver.

I love this single balloon with the soft stars background.

It was fun trying out this new set.  Loads of options to get you inspired.

Take care. x

Floating Balloons

Balloon Celebration from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

I love these floating balloons with their little dandelion tufts.  I think they really suit a Congratulations card.

I demonstrated this card at a recent Stampin' Up! party. We used the stars stencil to add some soft stars to the background and interspersed the spaces with the little stars from the stamp set.  The shading on the balloons, the dandelion tufts and the sentiment are all embossed in silver.

Well, a congratulations card should have a little sparkle!

Have a super weekend.
