Stampin' Up! Tea Shoppe

Happy Mid Week!  Got time for a visit and a cuppa?  I've made a relaxing cuppa card with Stampin' Up!'s Tea Shoppe.  So take your time and have a wander around.

Less is More this week is looking for scallops.  So here's what I came up with.

For my card you may need to click on the picture to see all the details.  The base is Naturals White card stock and the top panel is Shimmery White card stock.  I've pierced the top panel using my Essentials Paper Piercing Pack along the bottom with my scallops.  I stamped the little cups in Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, and Elegant Eggplant.  Did you notice one of the little cups also has scallops?  The sentiment is from the same set stamped in the Lucky Limeade.  I've popped this panel up on some Dimensionals

So whilst you are enjoying your cuppa and having a look around, you may spot that I have two spaces left in my Stampers 6.  It's not too late to join in so drop me a line on ails300@btinternet.com.

Thanks for visiting.  x

Stampin' Up!'s Summer Silhouettes Pierced

A soft gentle card tonight using the fabulous Summer Silhouettes.  I love that the stem can be used on it's own and these little flower heads are perfect for floating away.  I used my new tool - Essentials Paper Piercing Mat.  It's so easy to follow the guide and it's therapeutic too!  There are 3 mats included so lots of designs to jazz up your creations.  Once I'd stamped the main images I sponged Baja Breeze and Summer Starfruit around the middle making a soft green shade.   I then added the sentiment from Tea Shoppe in Summer Starfruit.

I've made this card for the first month of a new card club I've joined and this card should now be in the hands of Michelle.  Hope you liked it Michelle!

That's it for me today.  Remember to get in touch if you would like one of my 2 remaining places in my Stampers 6 club starting in April.  It's only 2 weeks away!  My goodness time flies!

Stampin' Up!'s Summer Silhouettes Just for You

I hope all you UK Mum's out there had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday.  Despite the snow and the start of a yucky cold, I had a lovely day.  Breakfast made for me and out for a lovely lunch.

Today my cold has arrived full blast so I'm feeling rather sorry for myself but managing to craft lifted my spirits.

This card uses the wonderful set Summer Silhouettes.  I Love it.  It's one of those stamp sets that is so easy to use and produce fantastic results.  For my card I've used a Rich Razzleberry base, Old Olive mat and Whisper White panel.  I stamped the border in Certainly Celery then used Old Olive for the branch and Rich Razzleberry for the firework looking flowers.  The sentiment "just for you" is from Tea Shoppe.

I only have 2 spaces left for my Stampers 6 club starting shortly.  If you would like to gradually build your stash by buying a small amount each month then please get in touch on ails300@btinternet.com.  You can look at my Virtual Hostess Page for more details.  It would be lovely to help you build your collection.

I hope you have a good and productive start to the week and I hope that today is the worst of my cold and I am on my way to improving!

Stay cosy. xx

A Chamomile Tea Shoppe

Brrrrrr would you love a cup of tea right now?  I know I would.  We've had snow on and off most of today.  It doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon.  So it's stay inside, defrost your mojo and do a little crafting!

I stamped my large tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Pacific Point onto Sahara Sand and cut out using my Paper Snips.  I then used the Chamomile Wheel to create a pattern on Pacific Point cardstock.  Then run it across the Sahara Sand mat.  I used one of the Bitty Banner Framelits to cut out the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I corner rounded my Sahara Sand mat and attached to a Pacific Point Base.  The cup was added with Dimensionals and three Basic Rhinestones pick up the pattern on the cup.

The Bitty Banner Framelits has a stamp set to go with it, Itty Bitty Banners, and during Sale-A-Bration you can order this stamp set for free!  have you picked out your favourites yet?

I'm going to pop this in to the following challenges -
At Casology this week they have a cue card of Drink

Less is More is being very friendly this week with a theme of friends so I'd like to pop this in over there too.

Here's our snowy scene from this morning walking up to school.

Summer Silhouettes at the Tea Shoppe

Stampin Ups Summer Silhouette flowers in a Tea Shoppe Cup

Hi Everyone.  A quick post for you today.

I've made a card for Freshly Made Sketches

Instead of the ribbon, I've stamped the pattern from Summer Silhouettes, one of the new sets from the current Stampin' Up! catalogue, in Summer Starfruit onto the same coloured card stock, then stamped my sentiment in Elegant Eggplant from For My Family.  The card base is also Elegant Eggplant.  The main panel is made up of Whisper White and Baja Breeze.  I've used the large tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Elegant Eggplant and filled it with flowers from Summer Silhouettes.  I added the really small Basic Pearls for a little interest.

I'm off to tidy up and prepare dinner for tonight.  It's our 15th Wedding Anniversary so best make it a little special.

Thanks for your visit.  It's always appreciated. x

Autumnal Lovely as a Tree

I'm bringing a little Autumn Stampin' Up! style with Lovely as a Tree.  This is so easy using your Stampin' Write Markers.  All I've done here is dotted the trees with some different autumnal colours.  I used my Blender Pen and ink pad to add colour to the grass.

I liked the idea of the row of trees going round the back.

The Just for You is from Tea Shoppe and fits the Word Window Punch perfectly.  A couple of tags of ribbon just to finish off.

Just a sweet little card.

Hope you've got a lovely day planned.  Take care. x

Stampin Up Paisley Petals Gift Boxes

Here's some little gift boxes that I made up for my Stampers 6 ladies.  This was the last month of their current Virtual Hostess club so I wanted to make something a little special.

I'm so pleased how these came out and they weren't hard to put together either using Stampin' Up!'s Scoring Tool.  Have a closer look.

I used Early Espresso card stock and Paisley Petals Designer Papers.  I started off by making the box.

I used the 1" Circle Punch and the Word Window Punch to create the apertures for my gifts to sit in.   The top cover was cut with the Labels Collection Framelits die.  I also used the framelits to make a small label for my sentiment from SIncere Salutations stamped in Early Espresso.  I attached a sentiment tag to the front with a Brad.  The tag on the front is from Tea Shoppe stamped in Early Espresso and punched out with the Modern Label Punch.  Some Linen Thread looped through the box holds the flap in place.

I like putting a little gift into my ladies bags as a little surprise.  Is joining a Stampers 6 club something that would be of interest to you?  If it is then give me a call or e mail me to discuss further.

I thought I'd share a photo taken a couple of weeks ago when we had a little heat wave.  I was in shorts and a t shirt now its padded jackets!

This is Slains Castle just up the road from Aberdeen and only just discovered by us.  It was Bram Stokers inspiration for the castle of Count Dracula and sits right on the cliff edge.  We had a fab day here exploring and going to the beach at Cruden Bay.

Isn't this fabulous and it's right on our door step.  I did dip my toes, icy cold water of the North Sea.  Very refreshing.

Take Care. x

Paisley Petals Starburst with a little French Foliage

Good afternoon crafty peeps.  I've a little challenge for you.  Some of my customers have admitted to being a little designer paper challenged.  So I'm showing a card today using the gorgeous Paisley Petals Designer Papers.  All Stampin' Up! papers are on the retiral list as new designs will come in with the new catalogue in October.  And this set is 40% off so thats 12 sheets down to £5.97!  So get your skates on if you fancy these designs as they are going going gone!

For my card today I've followed the sketch over at The Friday Mashup

The mashup is to follow the sketch or use the starburst technique (you can follow a link to a tutorial on the blog) or do both.

Honestly ladies this was so easy to do and with Stampin' Up! designer papers it's even easier because you know the patterns/colours are going to co-ordinate.  I followed the tutorial and matted my starburst panel onto Early Espresso after sponging the edge of each piece with the Early Espresso ink.  I stamped a leaf from French Foliage in Old Olive, stamping 3 times without reinking.  Then punched out with the 1 3/4" circle punch and attached to a mat of Early Espresso cut with the Circles 2 Die.  I added a bottom panel using the reverse of one of the papers from the range (they are all double sided).  Just for you is from Tea Shoppe and stamped in Tangerine Tango then punched out with the Word Window Punch.

So ladies fancy having a go?  Come on, we can cure your paper phobia! Hee hee see you next time. x

Relax with a cuppa!

My card today is all about relaxing.  I've combined two challenges -

Casology

and

I thought both these challenges work well together because the purples for Dynamic Duos are also relaxing.

My base card is Sahara Sand.  On top of that I've added a large mat of Wisteria Wonder which I scored a diagonal pattern with my Scoring Tool.  The next mat is Concord Crush and the last mat it Whisper White.  I stamped the large tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Concord Crush then cut out and attached with Dimensionals.  Thanks is from one of the sentiments and is stamped in Wisteria Wonder then punched out with the Modern Label punch and tucked behind the cup.  I then tied a bow round the handle using two pieces of  Linen Thread

Having a cuppa is a lovely way to relax, along with crafting, glass of wine, dancing, singing at the top of your voice.  Oooops letting away too many secrets Lol!

It's getting close to the end of the August promotion, Reason to Smile.  So if you would like to have this set or earn it for free then please get in touch soon.
Joining my Stampers 6 would mean never missing a promotion again because I would let you know in plenty of time for you to include it in your orders.  Only a couple of places left for new club starting in October.

A big welcome to Allanah, thanks for following me here.  Hope to see you often. x

Punch Art Summer BBQ

First of all I would like to thank you for all your lovely comments whilst I've been on hols and I will try to get round you all over the next few days, to catch up with your lovely creations.

This is a card I made for my Hubby's birthday which we celebrated whilst we were away.  He loves to have a BBQ and is currently looking to replace our old one with a new red one.  Hopefully there will be some dry days this summer to try it out!

I followed the Punch Art BBQ design on Dawn's Blog which uses a variety of punches to create this fab BBQ.  The smoke is from Swirls Scribbles Sizzlit Die.

I made a little garden by adding some grass in Old Olive with the top snipped to look like grass then sponged a sky with Tempting Turquoise.  I added the Whisper White panel to a Tempting Turquoise mat and then attached it to a Crumb Cake card base.

Just for you is from Tea Shoppe and I hand wrote the rest using my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.

It's fun to use your punches in a different way.

We have a new super promotion on this month. Have a look

You can receive a ribbon and brad pack when you spend £45.  The ribbons and brads match the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment papers that were in the Sale-A-Bration Promotion.  If you didn't get the chance to pick up these papers at the time then no worries you can purchase them now whilst stocks last.

Thought I'd share a photo from our hols

Boa Vista Cape Verde

Hard to think we were there only a couple of days ago whilst I look outside at the rain.  Oh well back to the ironing mountain!

But before I go, a big Hi to my new followers Chris and Ruth.  Thanks very much for choosing to follow my little blog.  Hope to see you drop by often. x

A stack of thanks

Hi Crafty Peeps!

My card today is one we made in my card class using Tea Shoppe.  It's always handy to have some thank you cards in your stash.

For this one I've started with a card blank of Pool Party.  We used the Chamomile Wheel to create a background pattern in Lucky Limeade.  Then punched a border with the Eyelet Border Punch.  A trim of Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral gives a colourful border.  Then added a flag tag in Island Indigo and attached a Whisper White panel stamped with the cups.  Punched out a little flower using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch and a Basic Pearl to the center.  I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral and punched out with the Modern Label Punch.

There's a new promotion for July.  If you spend £45 you will receive a ribbon and brad bundle which matches the everyday Enchantment Papers that were available during Sale- A-Bration.  Don't worry if you missed out on the papers because you can now purchase them whilst stocks last.  I love it when we can give you a freebie along with your purchases.

Hope you have time to share a cuppa today.  Happy crafting. x

Me and You Tea for Two

Happy Friday Everyone!

Another hectic day planned but I'm taking 5 minutes out to share this card with you.  I've followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

This is my daughter's card to my husband for his birthday.  (Don't worry I think he'll be too busy to look on my blog).  Normally she would make the card herself but decided to take up knitting so was too busy concentrating on that.  I was given instructions as to what she wanted.  My husband likes his tea so we decided on Tea Shoppe.  She liked the large cup and I think it suits the sketch.  It is a bit flowery though so I put a label on punched out with the Extra Large Oval Punch, then added a mat behind it.  The choice of colours were also an attempt at masculinity and the pumpkin Pie panel has been embossed with Perfect polka Dots Embossing Folder.  My daughter had suggested in our discussions that the the tea cup should have wings attached to it!  Thankfully she hasn't noticed there are no wings, that would have stretched the masculine feel to the limit!!

This was done with a constant stream of "oops Mum I've dropped a stitch!"  Here's the result of all that hard work knitting.  It's a square in case you're not sure and yes the needle is picking up a dropped stitch discovered after I cast off for her.............. Bless!

A Tea Shoppe Pennant

I'm catching up on some challenges this week and this card is for Simply Stampin' which is regally royal.

This is one of the cards we made at card class this week.  With the end of term fast approaching and lots of activities ending, it's always handy to have some thank you cards.

Tea Shoppe is a fab new set in the Summer Mini and has this lovely sentiment - A cup of Thanks.  I'm still a bit in Jubilee mood so decided on a red white and blue colour scheme along with pennants.  It's very British to have a cup of tea so decided on the little cups as the decoration for the flags.  I'm hoping this is regally royal enough to fit into the challenge.

So onto how I made my card.  The card base is Pacific Point with a Whisper White mat.  I sponged a cloudy sky using a Scallop Circle Punch of scrap card and Tempting Turquoise.  I then punched Real Red pennants using the Pennant Builder Punch.  The tea cups were stamped in Real Red and Pacific Point.  Then punched out using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  I added a Basic Rhinestone to the centre cup.  The little birds are from Up Up and Away and are stamped in Pacific Point.  I masked off one bird from the second grouping.

Good oh it's friday.  Hope you have a lovely weekend planned.  Just as well for us the weather is a bit grim, our back garden is a no go area.  We are having it landscaped and they just started yesterday with the digger.  I'm looking forward to it morphing into a beautiful butterfly in approx two weeks time!

Have a fun crafty weekend. x

A Cup Of Thanks

I've used the new set from the Summer mini - Tea Shoppe - for my card today.  I'm a coffee drinker but this set has so many adorable stamps in it that it won me over.  Not that I'll be changing to tea though Hee Hee!

I've used one of the small cups popped up on a Dimensional with the flowers stamped behind. I scored 3 lines with my super duper Scoring Tool to ground the cup.  If you don't already have this new tool then get in touch because it really does make creating effects on your projects so quick and easy.  Under the scored lines I've stamped my sentiment in Concord Crush.  The card base is also Concord Crush.

At the secondary school that my son goes to, they all move up to the next year for the last 5 weeks before end of term.  What a great week he's had, why?  Well he had 2 days with his new 2nd year timetable then yesterday, today and tomorrow has all been activities.  He was paint balling yesterday, a trip to Dundee today and tomorrow is a full day of sports.  2nd year at school must seem fab!!

Hope you are having a fun week too.  Lovely to have you come by and visit. x

A Tea Shoppe cuppa

Fancy a cuppa?  As of tomorrow you could have this set winging it's way to you.  Tea Shoppe is another of the new stamp sets in the Summer Mini available from 1st May until 31st August.

For my design I've followed the sketch at ISpy sketches.

Here's how I made the card.  I started with my colour coach and chose a colour palette of Marina Mist, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze.

The card base is Marina Mist with Crumb Cake mats.  I punched an Eyelet border down one side of the Crumb Cake and the Whisper White strip. Then stamped a pattern with the little flower in Marina Mist.  The top panel has the little flower stamped again but this time in Crumb Cake.

Isn't the little sign adorable?  I stamped it in Cajun Craze and punched out with the Large Oval Punch.  Then matted it onto a Marina Mist Scallop Oval

The main panel is Whisper White stamped with the little cups in Cajun Craze.  I stamped some of the cups off first.  Then I stamped the large cup in Marina Mist and cut out.  It was attached with Dimensionals.  My fun sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze and punched out with the Curly Label Punch.  I punched out the label twice more in Marina Mist to create a mat.  Then attached this tucking it slightly into the cup.

Hope you've had a good day today and remember to call back tomorrow to check out the new mini.

Happy crafting. x
