Zoo Babies

This is such a cute stamp set.  I've used Stampin' Up! markers to colour directly onto the stamps.  This means you can easily achieve different colours in your images.

I've first punched my images out using the postage stamp punch then attached to a Soft Sky Scallop Square. The card base is Pacific Point with a mat of Tempting Turquoise.  I stamped a banner of flags on the background from Banner Banter.  The sentiment also comes from this set.

I love these little critters such a shame they are now retired.

Take care. xx

Pop of Paradise

Ooooh La La.

Look at this Pop of Paradise.  Just had to pair it up with lush pinks.

This is my first play with some of the new items from the catalogue.  Not my usual choice of stamps but I love it.  It's good to challenge yourself.

I've used Melon Mambo, Brushed Gold, Basic Black and Whisper White to make this card "Pop".  The leaves and flamingo are stamped in the new In Colours - Emerald Envy and appropriately named Flirty Flamingo. The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo and to finish I punched out a small heart in Gold Foil.

We've had a lovely sunny weekend.  A pop of paradise at home!

Take care.

You Rock using Stampin' up!

You Rock!

Just saying cos you're here visiting me!

My card today is for Less is More using white space that's not white!

The card I've made started out differently in my head then evolved.  I'm very pleased with the end result but during the middle of the process was quite dubious.  Does that happen to you?

Here's the lowdown.

Start with a card base of Cherry Cobbler.
Cut a panel of Crumb Cake the same size as the front.  Punch out 3 little stars from the corner using Itty Bitty Accents.
Add freestyle paper pierced pattern around the edge.
Distress the edge with my Paper Snips.
Attach a panel of Cherry Cobbler the same size as Crumb Cake top panel.
Use Star Framelits to cut a large star out of top panel.
Cut a smaller star for insert.
Attach top panel with Dimensionals
Use the punch to add a silver star to middle.
Add Basic Rhinestones to the smaller stars.
Stamp sentiment from Crazy About You with Night of Navy.

I love using Cherry Cobbler. It's such a deep velvety red. Very lush and it goes very well with Crumb Cake. And no white used at all!

Hope you like.

Polka Dot Bow Ties

How simple is this?  Bish Bash Bosh and one masculine card done in record time!

I made these sweet little bow ties using the Bow Builder Punch.   The patterned papers are from a retired neutrals paper stack.  The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations and stamped in Basic Grey. The mat is Very Vanilla on a card base of Basic Black.

This is perfect for Less is More this week which has a recipe of polka dots.

A little reminder that tomorrow is the last day of Sale-A-Bration so grab yours whilst they are still here!

Look what my son made this evening.  Ninja gingerbread men!  How cool are these?  His sister helped with the icing.  Unfortunately I can't have any.  :(

Flower Shop Note Cards

A cute set of note cards for any occasion and so quick to rustle up.

I made these the same size as the front of a normal card blank so they slip easily into an envelope.

The base is Marina Mist card with a Whisper White panel.  I added a strip of Designer Paper, the delicious Something Borrowed (retired). Although this paper series was in the wedding section, I love to show that it can be used for any occasion.

The flowers are stamped from Flower Shop and punched out using the Pansy Punch.  You might not be able to tell from the photo but I used two different coloured card stocks for the flowers - Soft Sky and Pool Party.  The flowers were stamped in Pool Party and Marina Mist. The front flower is popped up on a Dimensional and both have Basic Rhinestone centres.

These are perfect for dropping a little note or thank you and being only one side won't cost an arm and a leg in postage!

We had a snowy morning but all gone by this afternoon.  However very cold, windy and wet.  Brrrrr so glad to be inside all cosy and getting crafty!

A Belated Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my lovely blogger friends.  I hope 2016 fills you with joy!

I thought these party balloons from Celebrate Today were perfect for New Year.

Of course I've added a bit of wow by punching one of the balloons with the Confetti Stars Border Punch.  Then backing it with Red Glimmer Paper

I've added a banner with the sentiment from the retired set Good Greetings, embossed in gold. This was a free set available with a qualifying party.  It's always good to keep an eye out for promotions and especially just now because it's Sale-A-Bration time. So with every order of £45 you receive a freebie from the Sale-A-Bration leaflet.  Have a look at my side bar for more details.

Take care and keep cosy!  x

Tag you're it!

Ha Ha Tag you're it!

It's Saturday night, sitting here watching the Voice with a glass of red.  Life in the fast lane!  So I'm tagging you to admit what you are doing right now!!  Be truthful if you dare.......Ha Ha.

Also to show you this little pressie I made for my Stampers 6 Virtual Hostess Club.  Its a bag of tags made up from the Tag a Bag Accessory kit and my own tag as decoration.  I used the Angled Tag Topper Punch on Whisper White and decorated it with a gold foil bow using the Bow Builder Punch.  I stamped the message from Merry Everything (retired) in Cherry Cobbler on Real Red card stock.

I finished it with some Baker's Twine and a large Basic Rhinestone.

Here's a close up.

Have a fun evening.  x

Ornamental Pine Christmas Wishes

Another card for this week's challenge over at Less is More.

Love this colour pallette and it was fun to use it on Ornamental Pine.

I've started with a Marina Mist base and stamped the branch in Island Indigo on the base card and a Very Vanilla panel.  Then placed a Soft Sky mat beneath the panel. I stamped another branch in Soft Sky.  The ornament is stamped in Island Indigo onto Soft Sky and punched out with the circle punch. For the top I used Silver Glimmer card punched out using one of the flower from Itty Bitty Shapes (retired).  The sentiment is stamped in Sahara Sand.

So cold here today.  Had to put the heating up!

Keep cosy.  x

Holiday Home Christmas

Good Evening.

It's very cold with us and we have had high winds today.  Perhaps snow tomorrow.

Very nice to be tucked up inside doing some craft.

I've followed the colour instructions from Less is More for this card.  This week we have been given the following photograph to inspire us.

Brrrr it looks chilly and yummy all at the same time.

I've used a Marina Mist base with a panel of Very Vanilla.  My tag has a mat of Soft Sky.  The tag is Very Vanilla punched out using the Angled Tag Topper Punch and popped up on Dimensionals.  The tag is decorated with the Holiday Home stamp set.  I had great fun stamping up my little scene using Soft Sky, Island Indigo and Sahara Sand.  I added a strip of Silver Glimmer card to add a little sparkle.  To finish the tag I added a piece of silver ribbon tied with some Linen Thread.

I just adore Santa in his sleigh flying across the sky with his reindeers.

Are you getting excited yet?  Santa is on his way and Christmas is going to be here very soon!

Have a great day.  x

Kinda Eclectic Thinking of You

Have you had a Kinda Eclectic sort of day?

Mine's was pretty much normal, tackled my mountain of ironing and reduced it to a hill.  Will it be a mountain again tomorrow or will I be able to briefly announce my ironing is up to date??!!

Let's talk about my card instead.  I love the this soft colour theme.  We have Perfect Plum as the card base and the small butterflies with a Whisper White panel.  Soft Sky for the leaves and Sahara Sand for the border and sentiment, which is from Four You.  Elegant Eggplant gives the larger butterfly a stronger pop of colour.  It's punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch and I've added some Basic Rhinestones for that little bit of twinkle to the body.

This was fun to make and so quick and easy to put together.  I think you could use it for lots of occasions.  Mmmm but perhaps not Christmas and I am woefully low on Christmas cards.

Hope you are much more prepared than me!

How about an early Christmas present to yourself and become part of the Stampin' Up! family?  For one week, starting today, anyone joining will receive an extra 5% cash back bonus on their december commissionable sales.  But that's not all the starter kit has been reduced by 25%.  Now that is an early Christmas present for anyone who is thinking of joining!

Take care. xx

A cute little thank you

This was my little thank you for my Stamper's 6 club the other  month.

I had so much fun making this little treat tag.  I used the treat cups and the Chalk Talk Framelits.  The designer series paper is from the beautiful Park Lane set.  I complimented it with Old Olive card stock and this gorgeous Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon. It makes a little gift amazing.

For the little card I just added some scallop circles and the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners.

I used skittles in my treat cups but I'm sure you can be very creative with what you fill them with.

Have a great day.  xx
