More Triple Time with Stampin' Up! using Serene Snowflakes

You may recall I had some triple time fun a few posts back and here's another.  This time using Serene Snowflakes (another set on the retiral list sadly no longer available).  I've stamped the snowflakes in Lucky Limeade then matted the panels onto Poppy Parade. I made a little bauble and slipped it behind an acetate pocket.

Here's a close up.

I die cut a circle using the Circles 2 Die from the Red Glimmer Paper.  I stamped a snowflake in Poppy Parade and punched out with the 1 3/4" punch.  The punched out another circle in the glimmer paper with the 1" punch and lastly stamped a bauble from Delightful Decorations and punched out the middle with the 3/4" circle punch.  A small red Rhinestone Circle Fire Brad adds a little glimmer to the middle.  You can see I salvaged the top of the bauble to add to mine, then added some of the Lucky Limeade Organza Ribbon

Well that's all from me today.  Go try out some triple time yourself.  Take care. x

Simply Jolly Holiday

I've been having another play with my Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper.  I've seen squares rounded this way before in blogland and thought they looked good so here's my version.  I followed the sketch at Simply Stampin'.

My card base is Cherry Cobbler.  I teamed it up with Basic Black for the mounts.  The four squares were punched out using the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" square punches.  The edges were all corner rounded except for one.

I added some 1/4" Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon to the strip of Basic Black behind the papered panel.  The sentiment is from Delightful Decorations and punched with the 1" circle punch. It's popped on a Dimensional and then I added some Basic Pearls

This was fun to make once I'd decided how to incorporate my little squares.  Hope you've had a great day and I very much appreciate your comments. x

Christmas in August

Hi there, today was the first of my card classes for this term and we made some Christmas cards.  Yep I know I mentioned the dreaded C word!  It is only 123 days you know.

It was great to dust off my Christmas stamps though.  On this one we've used Delightful Decorations and Baroque Motifs teamed up with Designer Series Paper Jolly Holiday.

The baubles were stamped in Riding Hood Red and matted onto Cherry Cobbler punched out with the Ornament Extra-Large Punch.  A Very Vanilla panel was stamped with Baroque Motifs in Old Olive.  This was attached to the Jolly Holiday paper which was matted onto a Cherry Cobbler card base.  A panel using the opposite side of the Designer Paper and trimmed with the Scallop Edge Border Punch is raised on Dimensionals and added to the top once the baubles were attached with silver string.

In class today the ladies chose to use a panel of Cherry Cobbler at the top which was very classy.

I'm going to enter this into the Simply Stampin' Challenge which for this week is to Punch it Up!  I was really please to see that I won top 3 last week for this card, thanks ladies it made my day!  Go check out the challenge there's currently a stamp set up for grabs.

That's all from me tonight, hope you are having a great week and thanks for visiting. x

How to turn a Delightful Decoration into a Vase!! and get your mojo back.

First of all I decided that I didn't want to pack up my christmas stamps and punches quite yet.  So what to do with them?  Well after having a search on the internet, I came across a few ideas and thought I'd try one of them out.

This card uses the Delightful Decorations stamp set and Ornament Punch but the bauble turns into a vase.  Neat huh!!  You can now use this stamp and punch set all year round.

Secondly, what to do to spark up your mojo again after all those christmas cards and gift projects?  Think about colour, it worked for me.  I reached for my colour coach and started looking at the recommended colour combinations.  This one is rich razzleberry, pretty in pink and chocolate chip.  Should have been early espresso but I don't have that ink pad, so I substituted it.  However the main thing is to have fun with colour and you might just surprise yourself with what you come up with.

Happy Stamping. x
