Bright Blossoms in the frame

Only 2 places available in my next Stampers 6 Group starting April.  Get in touch now to put your name down.  I'd love to help you build your stash!

Remember I was having so much fun making faux metal?  (You can see my other post here).  Well I carried on and made some little thank you cards.

I thought the frame from Decorative Frames would look fab using this technique and I made a little scene to put in the frame using Bright Blossoms.  I added Basic Rhinestones for some added bling.

I've had a week of being nurse maid.  First my daughter was off from Monday will Wednesday and then my son was off from Tuesday and is just feeling a bit better today.  Both off with different complaints.  Perhaps I should have made get well cards!

Hope you are all well and not suffering any dreaded lurgy bugs!

Fancy a cuppa?

Good Afternoon!

Time for a coffee break?  I'm dropping in past with this sweet little card that I made as a thank you for my Stampers 6 ladies.

I always like to pop a little card and a gift into my Stampers 6 ladies bags.  Just to say thank you to show my appreciation.  This time I've made my cards using Perfect Blend and I included a gift box made with the Envelope Punch Board tool with some little goodies included.

Of course the card base on this card had to be Early Espresso with some Very Vanilla as a mat.  The mat was embossed with Decorative Dots which is free as part of Sale-A-Bration.  I stamped the coffee cup in Early Espresso onto Real Red and also onto Whisper White.  I then cut out the lid and label and attached to the cup.  I decorated it with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine and a little heart punched out Polka Dot Parade.  I then added the sentiment punched out with the Full Heart Punch.

I have 2 places left for the new Virtual Hostess Club starting in April.  Have a look at the tab at the top to see the full details and perhaps I'll be sending a little gift to you each month!

Thanks for coming in past today. x

Less is More in Metal

Hello Hello Hello

It's been a while, so my apologies.  Although life at home has been on the hectic side, I've still been busy creating.  Stay tuned over the next few days to see what I've been up to.

The cards I'm showing you are from today's efforts for the Less is More challenge which this week is a recipe of Metal.  I missed last week's masculine theme so decided to add that into the mix too.

I saw a tutorial on Do stamping with Dawn on faux metal and decided to have a go.  I was having so much fun with the Embossing Folders that I made a couple of cards.

This first card uses Rev Up The Fun!  I started with a Naturals White card base and stamped directly onto the card base with the tyre marks stamp, the spray and the sentiment.  I then added a Basic Black mount onto which I attached my faux metal embossed with Decorative Dots.  I stamped the tyre marks again and cut out.  I attached my red sporty car with Dimensionals and added a couple of Basic Rhinestones to the wheels.

My next card was actually the first one I made but wasn't sure it would be considered CAS enough for the challenge.

The Alphabet Press embossing folder looks fab done up as faux metal.  All I needed to add to the card was a sentiment and this one from Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired hostess set) was perfect.  I created the tag using one of the new fabby punches from the Spring/ Summer catalogue.  This is the Angled Tag Topper Punch.  I then attached a Glimmer Brad to the tag keeping the metalic feel.

This was so much fun experimenting today and I'm happy to see two more masculine cards go into my box.

Couple of things to remind you on.  Sale-a-bration is still on.  Great time to add to your stash and pick up a freebie or two.

Also I have 2 places left in my next Stampers 6 starting in April.  If you would like to spread your wish list and be a virtual hostess then please drop me a note to put your name down or to ask for more details.

Hope this has inspired you to have a go at this technique.  Did I say it was a lot of fun???

See you next time.  x

Have a Blast with Banners and Pennants!

Hello Peeps!

What a wet day we have had today!  Hope you are dry where you are.

My card today shows off this super set of stamps that can be yours for free!  Yep that's what I said, and there's a matching punch that you can also have for free!!  Double wow!

Sale-A-Bration time is here and with every £45 you spend you can choose a free gift.  Check out the leaflet on my side bar.

So onto how I made the card.  I've started with a Sahara Sand card base added a mat of Real Red.  I stamped the banners from Banner Blast in Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals onto Very Vanilla.  I stamped a little heart into one of the banners.  Then punched out using the matching Banner Punch.  I've popped the banners up on dimensionals and added a couple of Basic Rhinestones.

I stamped the "you and me" from Perfect Pennants in Cherry Cobbler then added the heart from the same set in Sahara Sand.

My card fits a few challenges on the go just now and I've listed them below.

I'm busy preparing for my Cake and Craft night on Friday.  If you live in the area why not pop along and see some of the new products in action.  Craft, Cake and Chat, sound like fun?

Also I've got spaces available in my next Stamper's 6 Club starting in April.  Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.

Okay so now to get on with my prep.  I have all my ideas just need to get them done!

Take care!!   x

Sassy Rainbow Birthday

Hello

Flying in with a speedy Happy Birthday.  The challenge at Less is More this week is Rainbow and as it's their 3rd birthday, a birthday card seemed appropriate.

I stamped Gorgeous Grunge in Smoky Slate onto Whisper White.  Then stamped Happy Birthday from Sassy Salutations in Basic Black on top.  The fun part was adding the rainbow coloured stars using one of the small stamps from Banner Blast out of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

I popped the panel up onto a Basic Black card base.  Super easy, super quick and I love how it's turned out.

A few things to tell you about.

Firstly I have a couple of spaces available in my next Stamper's 6 starting in April.  This is an easy way to spread the cost of building your stash and fun too.  I always like to put a little surprise into each person's parcel as a thank you.  You don't have to live close as I can set up a hostess code for you to join in and your parcel of goodies will be sent direct to you for £4.95 postage.  Sound like a good idea?  Drop me a line for any more details or take a look at my Virtual Hostess Page.

Secondly a new product!

A super new tool from Stampin' Up!  You can now emboss on the go with this portable Texture Embossing Machine.  It will also be a great accompaniment for anyone who has the electronic cutting machines but not the facility to emboss.

You can see the flyer here

That's it for today.  Don't forget to let me know if you are interested in the Stamper's 6 or if I can help you with any of your crafting projects. x
