Bordering on Romance on Acetate

Oh my goodness I actually chose to use acetate!

I stamped Bordering on Romance in Black Stazon onto some acetate.  Then coloured the opposite side with my Stampin' Write Markers.  I attached a piece of Whisper White to the back and cut round the flowers.  They were then popped up on Dimensionals and some Basic Rhinestones added to the centres.  I stamped the line of flowers in Basic Black onto my Crumb Cake base.  The "thank you" is stamped in Basic Black from the Faith in Nature set.

Faith in Nature is one of the many lovely hostess sets.  You can purchase these sets with your hostess pounds when you hold a workshop, join my stampers 6 (new club starting in October - e mail to reserve a place) or place an order for £150. During June and July hostesses can receive even more with sales of £325.  You earn £80 in hostess pounds (normally you require sales of £500 to reach this!) and 50% off any item.  Have a look at the flyer on my side bar and get in touch to book a party.

As the acetate helps make this shiny and so do the rhinestones this is another entry for less is more.

I think I might even use acetate again, this was fun.  I really enjoyed colouring the back of the image.  I found that it was best to use the darker colours in the marker set as they showed up better.  I was using my Subtles Set.  Also if you don't want your colours to bleed wait until each colour is dry before adding another next to it.  As you can see from the centres of my flowers I didn't, but I quite like the effect anyway.

Speaking of flowers, our garden is coming along, we now have the start of a patio to go with the mud.  No flowers yet though!

Hope all is well with you and you've avoided all this rain.  Not just good weather for the ducks but also good weather for crafters!!

Shiny Shiny Wishes!

Less is More this week is asking for something shiny.  Perhaps we could all influence the sun to shine again?

We had the primary school sports day yesterday and it was so cold.  Such a shame for the kids.  They had a super Olympic theme.  They were all split into countries and paraded on waving their countries flags.  Our picnic ended up in the school as the heavens opened.  Brrrr had to put our heating back on in the evening as was still chilled.

For my card I've used a Very Vanilla base.  Stamped the flourish from Everything Eleanor in Baja Breeze.  I punched out a flower of Real Red Glitter Card using the Blossom Punch.  Then punched out a heart of Very Vanilla.  I sponged Frost White Shimmer Paint over it.  I inked up the Faith in Nature flower in versamark then stamped in Poppy Parade.  I then covered it all in Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.  I added a Basic Rhinestone to the centre of the flower to finish off.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the all the shimmer and sparkle on my photo.

Thanks for calling in past.  I'm looking forward to having a look at all the sparkly entries this week.  See you tomorrow for another card using the Blossom Punch. x

Faith in Nature Mother's Day Card

Happy 1st March!  As it's Mother's Day this month I thought I'd make a Mother's day card.

Using Real Red as a card base I've added a mat of Very Vanilla then a mat of Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper.  I  sponged round the edges with Soft Suede using a Sponge Dauber.

A strip of Real Red was run through the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and attached.  The centre panel is Real Red and Very Vanilla.  I stamped the flower from Faith in Nature in Lucky Limeade.  I used my Blender Pen to pick up ink from my Real Red ink pad and coloured the centres.

The sentiment was also stamped in Real Red and is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I sponged the edges with Real Red.

A few little Basic Pearls in the centre of each flower finishes the card.

Thanks for visiting me today, I really appreciate it. x

I'm putting this card into Freshly Made Sketches - here's the sketch

Faith in Nature

Hi hope your day has gone well.  A quick post this evening.

Here's the card and holder that we made in class today.  We used the Hostess stamp set Faith in Nature.  You can't buy these sets but you can receive them free when you host a party with £150 sales or put in a personal sale of the same.  Another way is to gather up some orders from friends and family and as long as you reach the correct sales you can benefit from the hostess pounds to spend as you like in the catalogues.  If you don't think you know many people interested in crafting then why not join in with my Virtual Hostess Club. When it comes round to your month then you will be able to choose out of the hostess sets with out having to have a party.  You can see more information on this using the page tab along the top of my blog.  A new club will be starting in April.

Back to my card and this beautiful stamp set.  As you can see we stamped the leaf randomly on the Whisper White and corner rounded two corners then made a topper.  The topper is an Elegant Eggplant scallop punched circle.  Then Certainly Celery punched out with the 1 3/8" punch.  Finally just the flower head was stamped in Elegant Eggplant and punched out with the 1 1/4" circle.  We stamped the flower head again this time cutting out just the flower and attaching with a Dimensional and a Basic Rhinestone in the center.

The main panel was mounted onto Elegant Eggplant which was attached to a Perfect Plum card base.

I thought it would be nice to make a holder for the various cards that we make.  I got the template for the box from here.  Whilst there take a look round, as Jo has lots of lovely items. The box is also Perfect Plum with the same decoration as the card but has a frill of Certainly Celery punched out with the Eyelet Border.

This started out a quick post but I've waffled on a bit!  Thanks for coming by. x
