Be my Valentine Owls

Feeling romantic?  My little owls are.  They are gazing at each other adoringly!

I've made this card for the Less is More challenge blog which has a theme of "cut it out" for this week.

Here's the inside of my card.

I started with a Crumb Cake card blank and stamped it with Woodgrain in Early Espresso.  I also stamped the back of the card with this.  I then trimmed the front panel to roughly half.  I punched a hole with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  I attached a Whisper White panel.  Then it was time to have fun making up my little owls using the Owl Builder punch.  One was punched out using Early Espresso card and the other Crumb Cake.  The vests came from the Brights Paper Stack.  For my Owl in the tree I placed him on a branch of Certainly Celery punch using the Bird Builder punch.  I added my sentiment below in Early Espresso from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

We have such a lot of lovely sentiment stamp sets in the catalogue this year.  They really are worth a look.  This particular set has 12 stamps covering most occasions with a super variety of fonts.  (122650 Wood £29.95 or 122652 Clear £23.95)

I thought I'd share with you a conversation I had with my 9 year old daughter the other morning.  I was reading out the school menu to see if she wanted a dinner ticket or a pack lunch.  I got down to the puddings and had barely finished when she said "School".  "Mmmm", I said "Perhaps I didn't need to read the whole menu only the puddings!".   "Yes", she said "All I heard was Blah, Blah, Blah apple crumble!"  Cheeky monkey!!

I'd also like to say Thank You to Simpy stampin' for choosing my card as one of their top 3.  Thanks girls x. You can see my card here

Hope you are having a good day.  I'm enjoying our sunshine even with the hard frost and small amount of snow.  Take care. x

Your comment about these two looking at each other adoringly made me smile Aileen. Super card. I like how you've created the aperture to look like one of them is sitting in a tree, very clever. Sue.x
