A BLISS card class
Here is the first of two cards that I have prepared for tomorrows card class using the free BLISS set from Sale-A-Bration.
Anyone who has been following my blog recently will see that I have been entering the Less is More challenge blog. (My entry for this weeks challenge is in the post below) Well Chrissie and Mandi, the two ladies that run the site, will be pleased to see their influence has brushed off on me. The whole idea is to create cards that are clean and simple (CAS).
I stamped the sentiment first, per a tip from the above site, and then stamped my image and was going to add more to it but found I couldn't. Instead to make it less plain, I used my versamark pen to pick up the letters in Bliss and the central part of the image then embossed with clear embossing powder.
The second card is also using the Bliss set of stamps. This time I stamped panels and then stamped Bliss directly onto the card stock. I stamped the butterfly and cut out a second one and mounted it on top.
When I first saw this set come out, I wasn't at all sure about it but now I really like it and I'm pleased with the cards that I have made. I hope the ladies are also pleased tomorrow.
Materials used for both cards
All Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated
Card stock - perfect plum, elegant eggplant, whisper white
Stamp set - Bliss
Ink - perfect plum, elegant eggplant, crumb cake
Embossing powder - clear
