Merry Gingerbread Man!

This little fellow makes me smile :)

He was very easy to put together with Stampin' Up! punches.  His body is the Owl Punch, His arms and legs are from the Modern Label Punch and his head is the 3/4" Circle Punch.  I used Soft Suede cardstock for his body.   The buttons were punched using Itty Bitty Shapes in Whisper White and the Owl Punch for the Real Red centres.  

He is mounted onto a 2 1/2" Circle of Real Red with some Lucky Limeade Organza Ribbon attached to the back to make a loop.  I've hung him from the sentiment which was cut out using Expressions Framelits.  The background is the Embossing Folder Decorative Dots.  I've mounted this onto a mat of Real Red and attached to a card base of Soft Suede.  

I used a White Gel pen to add decoration and the face to my gingerbread man and also to the card base.

Flowers and Butterflies

Lovely to pop in and say Hi.  Hope you have had a wonderful weekend! 

I have a card to share which is for two challenges.  Less is More has a sketch for us to follow this week.  You can see it below.  Also Colour Q which has a fab colour combo.

I started by punching a piece of Crumb Cake with the 2 1/2" circle punch then rounding the corners.  I added 3 Petite Petals in Elegant Eggplant punched out.  I filled the middles with Daffodil Delight punched out using Itty Bitty Shapes.  A Basic Pearl to the centre finishes off the flowers.  The butterflies are from Papillon Potpourri and stamped in Pear Pizzazz and then punched out.  Elegant Butterfly punch gives a Pear Pizzazz mat to one of the butterflies.     As the flowers have a little dotty pattern, I used my Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write Marker to add dots round the centre of my aperture.  The sentiment is stamped in Elegant Eggplant and is from Sweet Essentials.  A sweet sentiment set indeed!  

Flowers are appropriate today.  Yesterday I took my Dad and the kids for a run out to a garden centre.  First stop was to have a coffee and some freshly made pancakes with ice cream then we chose some flowers for our pots.  The kids decided on bright colours so we have reds, blues, purples and oranges.  My daughter planted them up today whilst my son washed the cars and power washed the patios.  They are both keen to earn some extra pocket money just now.  Wonder if I can persuade them to do the weeding and how much they would charge?  Lol!

Around The World We Go!

Hello Folks!  I'm flying in with a looks quick but not so quick card!  

I wanted to join in with Addicted to CAS this week which has a theme of Far Away.  I was very lucky to be chosen as a Top 3 for this card.  Thanks girls!  

So for far away I've chosen the stamp set Around The World and popped the plane in Film Strip.  The sentiment "away we go" is also from Around The World.  I punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch and attached it with a Dimensional.  I've corner rounded the mat and card base.  

I've also followed the theme at Casual Fridays which for this week is - 

CFC131: Three Thirds? The idea is to use three of something, could be colors, sequins, etc
on just 1/3 of the card, and keep it clean and simple.

I've used the bottom third of the card, 3 stamps and 3 colours. 

How do CAS cards look so simple but can take ages to complete?  I deliberated for ages before stamping each element and there's only 3 stamps!!! 

Well another week has flown past and we have the weekend to look forward to.  Hope you are doing something fun!

Fabulous En Francais Note Book

Our card swap group was challenged this month to make a post it note book.  Here's how I decorated mine. 

My post it notes were lime green so I chose Gumball Green as my cover.  I embossed En Francais in gold and sponged the edges with Summer Starfruit then matted onto Basic Black.  To add some colour I stamped Fabulous Florets in Gumball Green and Strawberry Slush then fussy cut out.  I wrapped the flowers around the edge so they also decorated the spine.  Then a few Basic Rhinestones add a touch of bling. 

En Francais makes a super background whether it's embossed or not. 

It was fun making something other than a card this month.
