Santa's List on a snowy night

Back again with Santa's List.   This time he is pondering his list with a snowy scene in the background.  I can't see him putting anyone on the naughty list, can you?

I created the snowy forest in the background by using my Brayer and Night of Navy.  I first tore some scrap paper to create a mask for the snow in the foreground. Keeping the mask in place, I stamped the pine from Lovely as a Tree in Basic Black.  Sometimes stamping without reinking.  I used my White Gel Pen to dot some snowflakes and stamped the sentiment from Delightful Dozen in Night of Navy.  The panel was mounted onto Basic Black then onto Gold Foil and finally onto Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped Santa in Real Red and fussy cut him out then mounted him using Dimensionals onto the card.

We only have a few days left of this catalogue and then we swoop into Sale-A-Bration time and the new Spring/Summer catalogue.  I'm sure you will be very pleased with both when you see them.  Now's the time to book your parties and receive a little extra with your purchases.

It's a wet dull day here today so I hope you have something warm and cosy to do.  I've been soaked twice now walking the dog!  Off to get the groceries next, the natives are restless!!  I got cries of there's "nothing for pudding, Mum" last night after tea.  So my daughter and I whipped up a cake (as you do!).

Totally healthy you understand!  Well it did have carrots, apple and blueberries on the top.  It was made using a new book I got for Christmas.  Lorraine Pascal's Lighter way to bake.  There's loads more yummy recipes to try out.

Mmmmm anyone fancy a Craft and Cake day/evening?  If you stay local I'm planning a party to showcase the new catalogue and Sale-A-Bration.  You are welcome to come along.  It can be a Cake and Craft day if that's your preference!!  Ha Ha.

Here's what's left of the cake today.

Maybe I could just straighten up the edge a little.  After all it is time for elevenses!!

xx

Love the card, the background is fantastic. But I must admit, I like the cake even better. Wish I lived nearer! Hugs, Valerie

Very impressed that you are making Christmas cards and I like your forest.
Yes of course the edges of a cake have to be straightened up, we can't have untidy cakes.

A beautiful Christmas card Aileen, and the one in your previous Post is beautiful too.
This traditional Santa stamp is fabulous - love how you placed him on that lovely snowy scene, and used the Festive Flurry die as a border. Yummy cake too!

This is such a great classic Christmas card, Aileen! And I agree, he doesn't look like he would put anyone on the naughty list. He certainly won't be putting YOU on the naughty list with your ability to make such scrumpilicious cakes! Dang. That was kinda mean showing us that!!

Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Darnell
