Lovely as a Tree peacefully green

A serenely green card today using Stampin' Up's Lovely as a Tree and Sweet Essentials.

I've made a little scene stamping the background trees in Pear Pizzazz and the foreground pine in Garden Green.  A little sponging around the bottom in Pear Pizzazz helps the dreamy look.  I framed the scene with Basic Black and mounted onto a card blank of Pear Pizzazz.  I stamped in Pear Pizzazz then cut around the sentiment from Sweet Essentials.

I'm going to add this into this weeks CASology which has a cue card of Camp.  I always think of trees when camping and lots of greenery.  Also Dynamic Duos which has the colours Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz.

Today is your last day to grab your greetings at 25% off.  Sweet Essentials is one of those sets and has loads of fab sentiments to meet lots of occasions.  Give me a shout if you want one of these sets at a bargain price.

It's lovely to get back into crafting on a regular basis.  I hope that you have been managing into your craft space even for a short while.  It's so therapeutic!

xx

Christmas Cheer in the Summer

Christmas in July!  Time I got back onto the Christmas cards.  I started off so well at the beginning of the year then it all fell away.  So here I am and I'm hoping this fits into 3 challenges!  You can see them below.

Sweet Essentials is a new stamp set to me.  It has lots of useful phrases and a super cute font.  I lined up my Christmas Cheer using my Stamp-a-ma-jig and stamped in Real Red and Pear Pizzazz.  The little ornaments are punched using the Merry Mini Punch Pack and red Glimmer Paper.  The Whisper White panel is framed in Silver Glimmer Paper.

We've had a mixed weather day today.  Lots of sun and lots of rain!  Hope it's dry with you.

I have a big Hello to send out to my new follower - Maria.  Hope you call in to visit often.

Here's the challenges I'm entering -

I've flipped the sketch on it's side.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:

  1. Create a project for "Christmas / Hanukkah".
  2. Create a project with "Stripes".
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a "Christmas / Hanukkah project with Stripes".
Merry Monday - Anything Goes

Manhattan Elegance

Hi there, a touch of elegance for you courtesy of  Less is More where we've been given a photo for inspiration.  Take a look at these gorgeous shoes.

I've focused on the length of those heels and the luscious ribbon detail.

The Basic Black card base has a popped up panel embossed with the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder.  A strip of Silver Glimmer paper is also popped up on Dimensionals.  I added Satin Ribbon with an additional layer of Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon.  A tiny label sentiment finishes off from Tiny Tags and punched out with the Jewellery Tag.

I'm sure this could be used for a whole number of occassions where a little elegance is required or perhaps some romance.

We've been enjoying a lovely sunny day here today but unfortunately it's forecast for rain tomorrow and we are due on a picnic.  Let's hope they've got it wrong!

Mosaic Madness For You

Another card that was made before we left on hols.

I used the new In colours and Mosaic Madness.  I love the patterns in this stamp set and it's matching punch.  Stamp, punch, what could be easier than that?  Popped up on Dimensionals with a Basic Rhinestone in the middle for a little bit of glam and you've created instant interest.  The little sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners.

What do you think of the new colours?  Aren't the names delicious?  I love how they all look together.

I hope we have some sunny weather again tomorrow after the thunderstorms this morning.  Boy did the rain come down heavy!  Pup had to cross her legs for a little before we ventured out.  However not that she minded getting wet but I did!  Especially with our street becoming a temporary river!  And I wasn't too sure about having an umbrella up after the lightening!

Have a great day, keep your wellies close but better still get crafty.

xx

Flowers from the Heart

One of my favourite challenges is less is more and one of the first things I checked on our return was the new challenge.

The theme is handmade flowers and the entries look awesome.

I've gone very simple as my time is so limited and made some flowers by using the small heart punch with a doodled stem and a Basic Rhinestone for the centre.  The sentiment is from a sweet retired Sale-A-Bration set called So Happy For You.  The font suited these simple flowers.

I hope to catch up with you all very soon as my house work settles down and we get back into a normal routine.

But before I go here's a pic of hubby and daughter at the Top of the Rock.  You can see the Empire State Building on the far left.

Sigh wish we were still there!

Take care.  xx

Happy 50th Birthday

Back from an amazing holiday with the family.  As you'll have seen from a previous post we were off to New York to celebrate my husbands 50th.  Not just New York, we also visited Boston and Cape Cod!  Alas it's back to normality.

So although no crafty time as yet, I thought I'd share with you hubby's card.  In a similar style to the money wallets I made to hold their dollars.  The card base is Night of Navy with a Real Red mat.  I then made a panel of Whisper White and Night of Navy.  The sentiment from Sassy Salutations is stamped in Real Red.  The stars were punched using Merry Minis Punch Pack and the numbers are from Timeless Alphabet Bigz.

The washing is all done, the ironing almost up to date.  All too soon you slip back into normal day to day and your holiday is but a dream.  Sigh!

A little Mosaic Madness

Lack of posts means lots of bizz for me here.

I've really missed my crafting though so managed to squeak in a card for Less is More.  This week's challenge is SAND.  You may be a little confused about my card fitting this challenge.  Well let me explain, I've used Sahara Sand as my card base, one of my fav neutral colours.  Also I've gone with a middle east feel, (lots of sand there!), using Mosaic Madness, one of the new stamp sets that can be found in the new catalogue available to order from now!  This is a fab set with an embossing folder and punch to match.  You can bundle up and save when you buy the stamp set and punch together. I punched out one of the designs in Rich Razzleberry and the middle design is Raspberry Ripple popped up on a Dimensional with a Basic Rhinestone in the centre.  The sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Lots of news to pass on to you.  Today is the launch of our new Annual Catalogue and it's a winner with loads of new products to choose from.

Take a look here.  Grab a coffee and choccie biscuit though you'll be here a while!
