A-Muse-ing Sycamore Street

I've followed this weeks MUSE card as my inspiration for my birthday card.  You can see the Muse card below.

I've started with a Pool Party Base.  Then added a layer of designer paper from Sycamore Street.  I love this particular design from the set, it's so elegant.  I loved the punched out circle  on the panel on the muse card so I've pretty much followed the same design.  I used a 2 1/2" circle punch.  I stamped my sentiment from Sassy Salutations in Pool Party.  I love using this set, the font is so funky. I tied some Pool Party Bakers Twine around it and then attached the panel with Dimensionals.  I added an Elegant Butterfly to the edge of the circle using the punch and designer paper with an Island Indigo card backing.  A single small Basic Rhinestone gives some sparkle to the middle of butterfly.

This card is off to a special lady who has asked some of us to join a card club and I am delighted she asked me.  Each month we will send a card to different person on the list and if it's your birthday that month then you receive a card from all of us.  What a lovely way to receive some happy mail.  So Jane I hope you have a Happy Birthday and can't wait to see the cards you receive!  Have a look at her blog post here to see more details.  I think she may still have some places if you fancy joining in.

Speaking of clubs I still have 2 spaces available in my Stampers 6 starting April which is only round the corner.  if you would like to spread the cost of your stash and have the chance to be a virtual hostess then please drop me an email on ails300@btinternet.com.

I recognized the MUSE right away! I love this paper and need to get it out and use it instead of hoarding it. LOL, I have such a hard time using DSP. Too bad I don't have a hard time buying it!

Love this card design Aileen. That is my favourite paper from the set too - it looks so classy and elegant as a background to the aperture layer.
A brilliant CAS card!
