Stampin' Up! Baby Prints Cherished

I have a very simple sweet card for you today.  Now bear with me when I say that my inspiration came from CASology's cue card - Game

Whilst looking at my stamp sets, wondering what I would or in fact could use for the challenge, my eyes kept coming back to the hands from Baby Prints.  Why?  because I remembered playing lots of clapping games with my friends.  Unfortunately I can't remember any of the songs, only "3 6 9 the goose drank wine..........." However as it was made into a pop song that's maybe why it sticks in my mind rather the actual rhymes I sang as a child.  If you can remember any favourites I'd love to hear them!

The sentiment Cherish the Moments is great for a baby card as time passes so quickly and they are not babies for long but I also thought it was appropriate here.  To cherish our memories of games long past. What's happened to skipping? playing with 2 balls against the wall? (there was a whole lot of songs to go with that too!) chinese ropes?  Can you think of any others?

As the card is really very self explanatory I'll just list the supplies below.

Tomorrow is the first of Feb.  Hasn't this been a fast January?  Come back and visit to see the new Mini catalogue.  Lots of fabulous products in there to drool over.  You'll love it I'm sure.

Like receiving products each month and would love to be a hostess without having to have a party?  I'm taking names for the places I have available in my next Stampers 6 starting April.  It's not too early to put your name down.  Have a look at my Virtual Hostess Page for all the details.

So I'll leave you with that and would love to hear about your favourite childhood games and if you can jog my memory with clapping, ball, skipping rhymes even better! xx

Great take on the cue card - my 10 year old daughter could bring you up to date on all those games - she asked me if I wanted to play Slide the other night, and I was treated to a new one! Thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week!

A lovely card and a sweet image Aileen - not an easy challenge to work with, but your hand-clapping sounds like lots of fun!
One of my fave. children's games was "Whip 'N Top" - the best bit was adding the colourful circles onto the Top with chalks! Wow, that takes me back a few decades!!

I still haven't thought of anything for this challenge. When I saw your card, I immediately thought of Patty Cake and thought how perfect!

I'm with Bonnie, I thought of Patty Cake right away when I saw your card in the gallery. I still play that game with the grandbabies! Wonderful take on the cue word, and very sweet card. Love the pink!! Bev

When I saw your card I immediately thought, "Pattycake!" Brilliant! Reminds me of all those fun clapping songs we used to do on the playgound...my favorite was "Miss Mary Mack, all dressed in black, with silver buttons all down her back..." and of course there was jumping rope and Chinese jump rope and hop scotch! We didn't need video games...we had each other and our imaginations! Thanks for highlighting such good memories for so many of us...your card is adorable! Thanks for playing at CASology this week!
