Wetlands at the Beach

I do like to be beside the seaside!

This is our challenge for LIM this week, anything to do with the seaside or a nautical theme and of course clean and simple.

I've gone with a Hardwood background in Sahara Sand on a Naturals card base.  I made my beach using Work of Art and So Saffron paired with Soft Sky.  Wetlands is stamped in Marina Mist and my little scene is also mounted onto Marina Mist.

As it happens I was down at Aberdeen Beach today.  Took my daughter and her chum, my son, father and Jess (our dog).  It was a full car!  Sadly my father can't walk very well so we had a wheelchair for him and my son had his long board.  My daughter and her chum went off to meet another friend and go bowling.  So that left me to push the wheelchair and walk the dog along the esplanade, trying not to tip my father out of the chair by hitting bumps and avoid running over the dog at the same time against a strong wind. When we went for coffee at one of the cafes my back was soaking and not because it was roasty toasty!  However I have to say it was very warm at 5 o'clock when we headed back to the car.  I think all had a fun afternoon!!

I hope you have had a good weekend too whatever you got up to. xx

Stampin' Up!'s White Christmas

White Christmas in August??!!  Yep it is in the card making world because it's never too early to start your Christmas cards.

Tomorrow is the launch of Stampin' up!'s Autumn/Winter catalogue and this is a sneak peak of White Christmas.

I love it.  It was at the top of my list as soon as I saw it.

I've followed the sketch at less is more this week.  I stamped the trees in Smoky Slate, the Polar Bear in Soft Sky and the birdie in Real Red.  This set is one of the new photopolymer stamps so was very easy to line up the images.

The sentiment comes from a free set - Good Greetings - a free stamp set when you host a party reaching £200 in sales. There's loads of handy sentiments in it.

You can be a hostess several ways.  Have friends round for an actual party, collect the qualifying orders, place a qualifying customer order, or be part of the new Virtual Hostess Club and you'll be hostess for one of the months.  I have 3 places available so get in touch soon if this appeals to you.

We had another sunny day today but tonight walking the dog, I needed my big jacket on.  Just to remind us that we are heading towards Autumn!

Blended Bloom

Blended Bloom is a gorgeous large flower stamp that shows off Stampin' Up!'s new alcohol markers Blendabilities.  I used it here for my thank you cards for my ladies in my Virtual Hostess Club.

It was super to have a play with the different colours and have a practice.  I added a little gold sparkle to the middles.

The blooms were cut out and mounted onto black card stock.

I think they make an impact just on their own.

Stampin' Up's Something for Baby

Aw isn't this a cute set?  And there are framelits to match, even better!

I've made a little washing line using the Thick Baker's Twine and stamped my Something For Baby in the new In Colours. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners and cut out with the Banners Framelits.

The holidays are just whizzing past.  Loving the warm weather and was even warm today although it rained.

Catch up with you all soon.  x
