Mosaic Madness Christmas Baubles

How are you today?

I'm dropping in past to share a couple of cards that fit the challenge over at Merry Mondays.  The challenge is to use ornaments on your card.

I decided to use Mosaic Madness which makes a rather nifty ornament I thought.  I embossed them in gold on Basic Black card then punched out with the matching punch.  The card base is Whisper White with a mat of Basic Black before adding a further panel of Whisper White.  I stamped some Festive Flurry snowflakes in River Rock stamping off first.  Then added the swirl from Everything Eleanor to hang my baubles from.  The sentiment from Sassy Salutations was embossed in gold.  Basic Pearls finish off the ornaments.

I then tried another colour way using Real Red and added Santa from Santa's List in the corner.

Well that's it for me tonight.  Take care and stay crafty!  x

Sale-a-bration is here along with a new catty to look at!

It's all happening today!  I'm glad it's pouring down outside so I can stay in, be cosy and tell you all about our Stampin' Up! news.

First of all here's the card that I made for the Card Swap Group I'm in.  This one was for Margaret and we had to make a card with a fancy fold.  I've decorated it with the Sale-a-bration papers that you can receive free - Sweet Sorbet.  Aren't they pretty?  I added 3 little flowers from Petite Petals (found in the new Spring/Summer catalogue) popped up on dimensionals with little Basic Pearl centres. The flowers were punched out with the matching punch.  I'm loving the bundle and save options in the new catalogue especially as it gives a 15% discount!

I hope my card has whetted you appetite to take a look inside the new promotions.

I'm sure you are all aware of how Sale-a-bration works but in case you've forgotten here's a reminder.

1. For every £45 you spend you can choose a free product.
2. Host a party and receive more hostess benefits with qualifying sales.
3. Join Stampin Up and receive more in your starter kit.

Whichever way you decide to celebrate Sale-a-bration, it's great to receive more for your money.  Let me know if I can help you with your purchases.

Lots of yummy new products to drool over and to help your creativity in all areas.  From home decor to memory keeping.  There is something for everyone.

I'm going to leave you now with your cup of coffee and let you browse the catalogues.  I suppose I better take the dog out for her walk and brave the weather.

She doesn't look too happy in her new jacket does she?!!

Stampin Up Perfect Pennants Sneak Peak from the Spring/Summer Catalogue

Och aye the noo!  Happy Burns Night Everyone!

Have you had your haggis neeps and tatties tonight?  No!.......... well actually neither did we, we had a Chinese instead.

I've made a super quick card tonight whilst hubby and daughter were out walking the dog.  It's for the Less is More challenge and you can see the sketch below.

As a demonstrator I'm in the lucky position to be able to pre order goodies before the catalogues come out.  So I'm sharing a sneaky peak with you.

Here's how I made the card.  I've started with a card blank and added a Whisper White panel embossed with the hearts from Adorning Accents.  I then added a banner using dimensionals.  The banner is from the new Perfect Pennants - You make me happy.  It was  cut out with the matching Banners Framelits.  I'm positive you are going to love the new catalogues.  Lots of bundles to save on.  To finish it off I added little silver hearts punched using the super versatile Owl Builder Punch.

I'll leave you with a little Burns to go with my Valentine's Card.

"My love is like a red, red rose
That's newly sprung in June"

Santa's List on a snowy night

Back again with Santa's List.   This time he is pondering his list with a snowy scene in the background.  I can't see him putting anyone on the naughty list, can you?

I created the snowy forest in the background by using my Brayer and Night of Navy.  I first tore some scrap paper to create a mask for the snow in the foreground. Keeping the mask in place, I stamped the pine from Lovely as a Tree in Basic Black.  Sometimes stamping without reinking.  I used my White Gel Pen to dot some snowflakes and stamped the sentiment from Delightful Dozen in Night of Navy.  The panel was mounted onto Basic Black then onto Gold Foil and finally onto Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped Santa in Real Red and fussy cut him out then mounted him using Dimensionals onto the card.

We only have a few days left of this catalogue and then we swoop into Sale-A-Bration time and the new Spring/Summer catalogue.  I'm sure you will be very pleased with both when you see them.  Now's the time to book your parties and receive a little extra with your purchases.

It's a wet dull day here today so I hope you have something warm and cosy to do.  I've been soaked twice now walking the dog!  Off to get the groceries next, the natives are restless!!  I got cries of there's "nothing for pudding, Mum" last night after tea.  So my daughter and I whipped up a cake (as you do!).

Totally healthy you understand!  Well it did have carrots, apple and blueberries on the top.  It was made using a new book I got for Christmas.  Lorraine Pascal's Lighter way to bake.  There's loads more yummy recipes to try out.

Mmmmm anyone fancy a Craft and Cake day/evening?  If you stay local I'm planning a party to showcase the new catalogue and Sale-A-Bration.  You are welcome to come along.  It can be a Cake and Craft day if that's your preference!!  Ha Ha.

Here's what's left of the cake today.

Maybe I could just straighten up the edge a little.  After all it is time for elevenses!!

xx

I'm popping this in to the challenge at Festive Fridays which has the following photo for inspiration.

I took the red and white for my Santa and the surrounding snowy trees for my forest.

Stampin' Up!'s Santa's List in January

Stampin' Up!'s Santa's List is just adorable.  He has such a kind face.

I stamped Santa in Crumb Cake and coloured him in with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.    I then cut him out using the Festive Flurry Framelits and attached him to another snowflake in Real Red.  I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip.  The snowflake was attached to a panel of Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. The Very Vanilla was sponged at the edges with Chocolate Chip.  I added Crochet Trim Ribbon to the top and bottom.

The sentiment is in Chocolate Chip and is from Christmas Messages.

I've joined in with the challenge over at Merry Mondays and used their recipe of Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Ribbon.

It's quite bitter outside today we may get some snow yet!  Stay cosy.  x

Hello Baby Blessings!

Happy Saturday Evening!

I'm flying in past with my card for this week's challenge over at  Less is More which has a theme of "New Baby".

I decided for my card to go with neutral cards as last year I had plenty baby girl cards but all the new babies in the family were boys!

So I've started with a Crumb Cake base and added Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron as accent colours.  The designer paper is actually from the Christmas set - Seasons of Style.  As you can see a super set of double sided papers and not just for Christmas.  I mounted it onto a mat of Pear Pizzazz.

The tag is Whisper White with the nest from Take Care stamped in Crumb Cake and Blessings stamped in Pear Pizzazz.  The eggs are stamped in So Saffron and popped up on a Dimensional.  The ribbon is 3/8" Pear Pizzazz Taffeta.  I also attached the tag with Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Sweet Essentials and stamped directly on the card base in Crumb Cake.

Remember to check out all the special deals before they disappear!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  x

Love and Laughter Hearts

Sometimes even the smallest stamps are all you need to make a card!

I'm joining in with Less is More this week which is a one layer card with hearts.

I've used the little heart from Love and Laughter to make this Valentine's Card.  I stamped them in a heart shape in Cherry Cobbler onto a Real Red card base.  I then added a little highlight to each one with a White Gel Pen.   I also added a border around the card using the Gel Pen.  I punched some small hearts using the Owl Builder Punch from Silver Glimmer Card and decorated the border with them which gives a little sparkle.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners and is embossed in White.  I sponged some Cherry Cobbler around the heart inside the frame to give the one layer some added dimension.

As I've gone all romantic, let me check if you have you seen our Whole Lot of Love range?  They are only available until the 27th January and are not just for Valentines so well worth taking a squint at.

Have a look at the flyers on my side bar for a closer look.  Also if (like me) you are not totally over Christmas, we still have the Christmas single stamps available until the end of January.

That's it for now.  Still chomping my way through boxes of chocolates.  That diet will have to start next week!

Hope you are all well. xx

Festive Flurry Winter snowflakes

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and hope 2014 is all you'd wish it to be.

I'm joining you finally today as I'm trying to follow my New Year's resolution to be more organised around the home and therefore have more time to be crafty.  Unfortunately crafting has had to take a back seat lately and I've missed it so much!  So it was with happy delight I disappeared for a while today and made this card.

Now you can't be more organised than this.  First Christmas card for next year, I mean this year!  I must say I'm not really over Christmas yet.  I was quite sad to take all our decorations down.  No more sparkly lights to brighten up the dark nights. :(

I've used shades of blue to fit with the Less is More colour challenge this week.  Festive flurry is stamped in Night of Navy, Tempting Turquoise and Soft Sky.  The sentiment is from That's the Ticket stamped in Tempting Turquoise and punched out using the Ticket Duo Punch. I used silver card stock as mats and added some silver ribbon to "hang" my ticket from.  I added some extra sparkle with 3 Basic Rhinestones of differing sizes.  I corner punched the main panel to reflect the ticket sentiment.

I'm also going to pop this into Merry Mondays which now has it's own blog.  This week you have to add twine or ribbon.

So I know I said this before, but in my defense Christmas came along, hopefully this is me back on track!

Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Take care, keep cosy and happy crafting!! x
