Timeless Talk

Hello There!

How have you been this week?  I'm flying in with a card for less is more which closes very soon.  This week's challenge is

For our theme this week our challenge is
ROUND AND ROUND
For this you may use any image which implies this movement...ie things with wheels or which move in this manner etc or in fact cards with some moving parts.

So you might think bikes or cogs or cars etc but I started to think about the old fashioned dials on phones before we got all touch screen hi tech.  Not quite as old fashioned as the one on my card from Timeless Talk I might add but more like this-

Do you remember these?  The wire would get all twisted, your fingers would stick in the dials, you had to make sure you turned the dial all the way round or you had to start again!

As the dial is my focus I stamped the image again this time punching out the dial with the 3/4" punch.  Then to make it so it would turn I added a Candy Dots Brad Base with a Purple Candy Dot through the dial and through a Dimensional.  These candy dots are super by the way.  You can add any colour you want and customize your own brads!  The dimensional only had the paper removed from the one side so it wouldn't stick to the dial allowing it to move.  Here's a close up and I've moved the dial to let you see.

The speach bubble and sentiment come from the same set and I used a Stampin' Write Marker to draw a line and ground the image.

So I could be saying Hello There to you if you decide to join my Stamper's 6 club starting in October.  Have a look at my Virtual Hostess Tab at the top to see all the details!

Enjoy your weekend!  xx

What a clever card for this challenge! I remember when we got our first rotary dial phone. Before that we just picked up the phone and an operator (often our mother) said number please.

Love this. Fun card and great image...and yes, I remember phones like these and they were situated in the hall, where everyone could hear your conversation and it was often freezing, hence calls were kept pretty short!

That was clever choosing an old phone for "Round and Round" and you've made a lovely card. We still have one of these telephones with the twisty wire that gets all tangled, but it has push buttons!
