Chevrons and Dots....

......and an accidental ship!!  Ship Ahoy Everyone!!

It really wasn't intentional but as soon as I laid the bottom sentiment piece in place, my eye saw a ship and even though I was trying to be random I still see a ship!  So why fight it?! Hee Hee.

I've taken my inspiration from this weeks card at Muse.  This is week 5 at the challenge and I've been watching it with interest but this is the first time I've had the chance to play.
Here's the card

I've picked up on the colours, the chevrons and dots.

I started with a Pacific Point card base and added a mat of Tempting Turquoise then a panel of Whisper White.  I stamped my sentiment from Sassy Salutations in Pacific Point onto dotty paper from the Brights Stack.  I then punched some shapes out of Pumpkin Pie using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  Next I embossed Daffodil Delight card with the Chevron Embossing Folder.  Then using my Brayer I inked the raised embossing with the same colour ink for some tone on tone.

A bright cheery card for a bright cheery day!  Hope it's sunny and warm where you are today and thank you for stopping in past.

Remember to take a look at my Virtual Hostess Club starting in April.  I'm taking names now for my remaining places.

Take care.  xxx

Great card! Sometimes, those cards just have minds of their own! Glad you decided to 'float your boat' to share this with us!! Your use of the inspiration colours is delightful!

Oh yes, what a great design and love how you've used embossed strips in place of washi tape :0)

I love your take on the MUSE card. I never saw the ship till I read your comments, but ship or not, it's a wonderful card.

I never would have seen the accidental ship, LOL! I love how you've taken the pattern to just half of the card and alternated the diagonal ends! So cute!
