Snow is Falling....

....Well only on my card it is.  Apart from a hard frost I think we are getting off light.  Hardly any snow left.

I've made this card to fit the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays which is Signed Sealed and Delivered.  I haven't decorated my envelopes before but doesn't it look smashing?

For my card I made a frame of Night of Navy card stock and then stamped and embossed snowflakes in white. I used one of my favourite stamps from Serene Snowflakes.  I stamped the children from Welcome Christmas in Not Quite Navy and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make a shadow.  This is easy to do by stamping directly onto the acetate then lining it up with your image and pressing the ink onto the card.  I then masked with torn copier paper and lightly sponged around the figures to look like snow drifts.  I added the frame popped up from the Whisper White card base on Dimensionals.

The envelope was decorated in the same way as the main picture.

I love the crisp feel of this card.  I don't think we are destined for a White Christmas this year.   Not complaining, I like the mild weather especially after the heavy snowfalls we had the last two years.

Thanks for taking the time to pop by.   Keep cosy. x

Love the card Aileen, the stamp is so cute. Yeah think we are going to be missing the snow in this neck of the woods for Xmas this year. Hope you have a good one even with the lack of snow!

What a beautiful card. I was wondering how you did that shadow? Can it really be as easy as you describe? It looks really good.
