A Cherry Cobbler Welcome Christmas

My Aunt requested me to make a card with Son on it.  I hope she likes this one!

I've followed the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

As you can see I've slightly adapted it.

I love the stamp set Welcome Christmas.  I've used it a lot this year.  The family is particularly evocative of times gone by.

So I've given the card a vintage feel by using Cherry Cobbler which gives a lovely rich deep red.  Then with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder in the background I can start to imagine this cosy living room.

Some sparkly glitter on the tree and on the berries on the wreath brings along some Christmas magic.  I contrasted all this warmth with some cool Basic Grey.  I refrained from sponging the background and edges which I would normally add for a vintage feel but instead left the Very Vanilla and other card stock crisp and clean.

I've cut out my wreath which was actually easy to do.  Just punch a hole in the middle to get   yourself started.  This was added with dimensionals as is my sentiment tag.  The sentiment is from For My Family and punched out using Word Window Punch, then set on the tag which is part of the Petal Cone Bigz Die.

I like the way this has turned out.  Thanks for coming by and a big Hello to Gillian.  Thanks for following. x
