Less is More - Thanks

Woke this morning to glorious sunshine (I could seriously get used to this!) and the new challenge from less is more.  This week is lucky dip week and we have been given a theme of Thanks or Congratulations.  If you haven't taken the plunge yet to join in then this would be an ideal week to start.

My card sort of evolved today as many of mine do!  I started off with looking at my stamps for Thank Yous or Congratulations and chose this stamp from Afterthoughts, a Hostess Level 1 set.  Normally I would mask off the text underneath and perhaps use this in the middle, but today I decided to completely use it for the front.  The owl from Fox and Friends immediately fell into place standing on the T.  I positioned it using my Stamp - a - ma - jig (definitely a must have item at only £10.95 in the catalogue!) and stamped it in chocolate chip.  I cut the whisper white into a square and mounted it onto real red card.   I was already thinking a step ahead and wanted to make it look like a tag.  I used my crop-a-dile to punch out and set a brad then looped some real red ribbon through it.  Now I had my tag I decided it would look best  on some textured whisper white and keeping it in the square cut this to 6" by 6".  I've made a similar panel in the middle with some whisper white and real red.

Can I take this opportunity to pass on my own thanks to all the lovely limettes who have commented and visited my blog in the past week?  It's very much appreciated and I've enjoyed visiting you too.  Also a big thank you to my new followers, I hope you visit often.

I'm off out to have lunch in the garden and to enjoy this sunshine whilst it's here.  Hope you have a great day. x
