Party Parade
Hi quick post tonight.
Another last minute card for my daughter who has a birthday party on Sunday.
For this one I've used Party this Way flags in Real Red, Tempting Turqouise and Daffodil Delight. The centres were stamped with stamps from Pennant Parade. I added brads to the corners and looped ribbon as little tags to the top. The sentiment was stamped from Party this Way. I mounted the panel onto Real Red card stock before attaching to the Whisper White card base.
I would like to put this card into CAS-ual Fridays which this week is to add ribbon loops but bows don't count.
Also I would like to enter this card into the Friday Mashup which this week is to use brads or autumn or combine both. For this week I've just used brads.
Come back tomorrow and see the new catalogue which launches on the 1st. It's so exciting!!
A big welcome to Kasey and Lindsay so nice to see you following!
That's it for today, have a great weekend. x

Manly Christmas!
Good Morning, I'm hoping the rain stays off long enough for me to go a walk. I went one yesterday with the children. They were on their bikes and Mum was puffing along behind!
Onto todays card. I'm playing along with The Friday Mashup which is a square sketch this week and make it manly.
I swapped my snowflakes to the other side as I just felt it looked better.
My card base is Crumb Cake textured and the card is 6" by 6". I started with Lovely as a Tree stamped in Night of Navy. I masked off the snow to sponge in the sky with Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy. The oval was mounted onto Night of Navy Card. A strip of Whisper White was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. This is a really versatile folder which can be used for lots of occasions but I particularly like it for a snowy scene. I added a some Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. One of the snowflakes has been glittered using Versamark, Heat and Stick and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. This is a lovely glitter, it's very fine and gives a super sparkle to your projects. A Basic Rhinestone gem was added to the centre of the snowflakes which I had in my stash. The "for you" sentiment is from Occasional Greetings and has been stamped in Night of Navy. I used two oval punches to make my sentiment tag - The Extra Large Oval Punch for the Navy background and The Large Oval for the Whisper White.
Still time to join my Stampers 6, I'm looking for 4 members to take part in the club. You will receive a free catalogue and a small gift to enjoy whilst looking through your new catty! Check out the tab at the top of the page to see details.
Right the sun has peeked through so I'm off for my walk before I find something else to do!!
Here's the supply list which is available to order from myself on ails300@btinternet.com.

Sail Away Birthday
The card I have today is for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge which is to use 3 monochromatic colours (your choice) and one brown.
I've made a masculine card using Sail Away. I started by cutting an oval and stamping Sail Away in Night of Navy. I used a scallop circle to sponge some clouds in Bashful Blue and waves in Marina Mist. The sails were masked before sponging so that they remained white. I mounted this onto Marina Mist and attached a tempting turquoise brad.
The background is a card base of Crumb Cake with a mount of Bashful Blue then a panel of Night of Navy. This was partially embossed with the Square Lattice folder with some twine wrapped around it. I stamped Happy Birthday from Afterthoughts in Versamark and heat embossed it twice with Clear Embossing Powder.
Thanks for coming along today to view my card. Not long now till the new catalogue is available. I still have 4 places available in my Stampers 6 which is a super way to spread the cost of all those new goodies. You can e mail me on ails300@btinternet.com to register your place.

Christmas Sparkle
Well I'm not quite sure how to describe this card. It fell together out of having a play with my new embossing folder - Vintage Wallpaper.
It's such a rich deep embossing folder I decided to use a rich deep colour with it - Cherry Cobbler. Using my Colour Coach I matted it onto Night of Navy after corner rounding and using Dimensionals to pop it up. The sparkle comes from dabbing Frost White Shimmer Paint onto part of the raised pattern. A Basic Rhinestone in the centre finishes it off. The panel is attached to a Whisper White card base. I decided it looked Christmassy so added Holiday Greetings from Sincere Salutations in Night of Navy.
This follows the sketch on Less is More
This is a great sketch to play along with so join in the fun!
A big welcome to Cindy, hope to see you often. x

Autumnal Tree
Good Evening. Hope you had a nice day today. It wasn't so cold here today in fact at some points it was quite warm. Makes it much easier to enjoy this time of year.
My card today follows the sketch on Freshly Made Sketches -
This was a lovely sketch to follow and my card came together really easily.
I started off with a Crumb cake base which I rounded the corners on. My tree is from the beautiful stamp set Lovely as a Tree. I stamped the trunk of the tree with my Early Espresso stamp pad wiping away any excess from the leaves. I then tapped Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait using my Stampin' Write Markers onto the leaves. Isn't it great how everything with Stampin' Up! co-ordinates so you know the markers will match the ink pads and card stock? It makes it all so easy!
The tree panel was popped up on dimensionals and attached to Poppy Parade card. I don't know if you can see in the photo but I added a frame of leaves using Poppy Parade ink. This was then mounted onto Chocolate Chip card.
The border is a Chocolate Chip base with Poppy Parade punched out using a punch out of the New catalogue available in October - Lace Ribbon Punch. Isn't it fab? I think this will be fantastic for scrapbooking and 3d projects too.
The little sentiment is from the Hostess Set SiIhouette Sentiments. A beautiful stamp set that has become a favourite of mine. You only have till the end of the month to earn this set. It was punched out using the Oval Large Punch and mounted onto a Chocolate Chip Scallop Oval.
A big welcome to Kelly, thanks for choosing to follow. Hope you come back often.
I'm also going to pop this card into Paper Players where the theme is animal or plants.
Thanks for stopping by. We have a local holiday tomorrow and Monday, great to have a long weekend. Hope you enjoy your weekend too. x

Thank You Pennant Parade
A wee card to share with you today. It's only 3" by 3" however I think little cards can still pack a big punch.
It's another sneak peak folks! A little bit more of Pennant Parade and an introduction to some of the new In Colours - Pool Party and Island Indigo. Aren't they fab together? The tiny sentiment is also from the same stamp set and the card base is Whisper White. The centre pennant has been punched out using the new punch which goes with the set - Petite Penant Builder Punch. I popped it up with some Dimensionals.
I think this will become a very popular stamp set as it's very versatile (see my previous post to see it turned into a Christmas Tree). Most of the sentiments are small enough to be used with the Jewellery Tag punch or placed inside the flags.
If you would like to be one of the first to have this set then you can e mail me on ails300@btinternet.com and your order can be placed on the 1.10.
Thanks for looking and a big Hello to Laurie, thanks for following! x
I'm entering this card into CAS-ual Fridays which for this mean they are looking for mini cards.
Also Less is More which is anything goes this week and they are hoping for 1000 entries to celebrate having 1000 followers. They are about a third of the way there so come on crafters pop your LIM cards and help them to reach 1000!

Sneak Peak- Gate Fold Christmas Card
Here's a little sneak peak from the new catalogue which comes out in October.
I've made a gate fold card this time using Cherry Cobbler as my base. The patterned paper panels are Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper (this is now sold out but don't worry we have a new set of Christmas papers in the new catalogue) which I've mounted onto Basic Black.
Have you spotted the little trees? These are from one of the new stamp sets Pennants Parade and the tag is also from a new set called Tags till Christmas. Two very exciting new sets which I'm sure you'll see a lot more of shortly. I've stamped them in Old Olive and the tree bases in Basic Black.
My sentiment which you can just see on the inside is from the hostess set Occasional Quotes. You still have time to earn this set with the appropriate order or party. Be quick though as it is only available up until the end of this month!
Have I teased you enough? I can start taking orders from the 1st Oct but in the meantime you can still order from the old catalogue. I'd love to hear from you on ails300@btinternet.com.

Less is more - Anything goes
Oh my will blogger cope? The Limettes have been challenged on Less is More to an anything goes week and to put in as many entries as possible. Chrissie and Mandi are hoping for a whopping 1000 entries. If this site doesn't get your clean and simple mojo going, I don't know what will!!
It's very daunting to be going it alone, without our guidelines. Usually this is what gives you focus but once you've accepted the freedom, well, skies the limit.
So enough waffle and onto my card.
Whilst I was in my quandry and looking around my stamps I spied Dasher. He's such a handsome fellow don't you think? I thought he would look great stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White. So the basis for my card was born. I attached my Whisper White to a Basic Black card base. As Dasher is rather magical with his fancy antlers, I decided to shroud him some magical mist, namely a little Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum. These were sponged around him. Finally some Dazzling Diamonds were added to his antlers just to add to his mystery.
I added the Basic Black satin ribbon to ground him and stamped Merry Christmas from Contempo Christmas. One of my favourite festive stamps.
Well I hope you've enjoyed my post and seeing my card. Will i post more well we will just have to wait and see. I wish the best of luck to Chrissie and Mandi who without fail comment on everyones entries. Lots of coffee required this week ladies!
Thanks for visiting and if you would like any of the above supplies to make your own magical Christmas cards then I would be happy to hear from you - ails300@btinternet.com

Two new challenges
Fox and Friends, in the case the little tortoise, has popped in to say Happy Birthday!
My daughter needed a birthday card for a party she's going to this weekend so I decided to try merging two challenges. New ones for me.
The first is ColourQ where you are to use the following colours -
Don't they look scrummy together?
And the second challenge is Freshly made Sketches which is only in it's second week. For this challenge you are to follow the sketch in a clean style. It doesn't have to be square but should be recognisable as the sketch.
So onto my card. I've used a Tempting Turquoise card base covered with Certainly Celery which has been embossed with Perfect Polka Dots. My Whisper White panel was stamped with the tortoise from Fox and Friends in Basic Grey adding a little Certainly Celery with my Blender Pen. I then added a pennant from Party This Way in Poppy Parade. The Happy Birthday is from this set too and has been punched out with the Word Window Punch then set onto a strip of Poppy Parade card punched with the Scallop Edge Punch. A little Rhinestone Brad finishes off.
The sentiment in the pennant is a sneak preview from the new catalogue, Pennant Parade. I know not much of a tease but I might have some more for you in the coming weeks. Remember the mini catalogue and retiral list are finishing at the end of this month. You can order items from myself by contacting me on ails300@btinternet.com.
Thanks for coming by today. x

A trio of Baubles
A trio of Baubles. This follows on from my last post. This time punching out 3 shapes using the Ornament Punch.
The top layer is popped up on some dimensionals and the card is shimmer card. When held to the light you can see the soft shimmer. It's a slightly heavier weight than whisper white so great to use as a card base or as I have done here. The underneath layer is cut slightly smaller and stamped in Bashful Blue with Serene Snowflakes.
The sentiment is from Contempo Christmas and I've doodled a border and some strings for the baubles. The card base is Night of Navy.
You could just as easy use a circle punch to make this card.
Thanks for coming by to take a look. Happy crafting. x

A Serene Snowflake Bauble
Another Christmas card from my card class. This week we used the Ornament Punch to make a Christmas bauble. I think this is a really effective way to use your punch and makes a really pretty card.
The Real Red front panel is popped up on Dimensionals and we made some patterned paper to show through the punched out ornament using Serene Snowflakes in Night of Navy. The panel was layered onto Night of Navy card.
The card base was covered with patterned paper from the Brights Stack with the corners rounded. This is a great stand by set of papers to buy. You get 40 sheets of 12" by 12", 2 each of 2 double sided patterns and they are available in each of the colour families. The paper stacks are currently £15.50 which works out at 39p a sheet.
The sentiment was from Season of Joy and was punched out with an Oval Punch and mounted onto a Decorative Label. A strip of 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon runs behind it.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my festive card. Happy crafting. x

One layer seeing double
Hi there, it's Saturday again and another challenge from Less is More. This week it's a one layer challenge - Seeing Double.
So here's my interpretation. I used a mask on my Whisper White card blank and stamped Solid Stripes twice in Not quite Navy to create my rickety fence. The grass is sponged in Pear Pizzazz and Certainly Celery. I added a cloudy sky by sponging Baja Breeze using a scallop circle scrap. I then stamped one of the flowers from Pocket Silhouettes twice, stamping off the page first. The sentiment is from the same set and is also stamped in Not Quite Navy.
I'm sure there will be some inventive creations from the other Limettes so do have a look if you get the chance.
Thanks for coming over to visit, have a great day. x

Lovely as a Tree Seasons Greetings
This is another card from my card class. We used Lovely as a Tree and Curly Cute stamp sets.
The bottom half of the Whisper White panel was masked then we used the brayer to create the sky with two colours - Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy. The edges were sponged with the darker colour. I think this gives a lovely effect. The trees and sentiment were stamped in Not Quite Navy.
The main panel was mounted onto Not Quite Navy and the card base is Baja Breeze. Here's how we decorated the inside -
The sentiment is from Occasional Quotes and we masked the same stamp as used on the front to add a small group of trees.
I'm really pleased with the result on this card. Thanks for coming along for a visit.
A big welcome to QiQuilly and Cheryl thanks for choosing to follow me. x

Love Letters at the Gate!
Oh dear my post titles do get worse! Lack of imagination for something snappy and witty. I should explain it's referring to a gate fold card and the Designer Series Paper is Love Letter.
Here's a photo to show the inside
The card base is Riding Hood Red which matches the colours in the DP. I've matted the panels and squares on the front onto Basic Black. I used Solid Stripes stamp in versamark on a Basic Black circle then embossed in gold leaving a space at the bottom. A circle from another piece of the Love Letter DP was punched using 1 3/4" circle extra-large and added on top of the embossing. I then decorated the half of the circle that shows and added another couple of strips of DP. A Very Vanilla panel was mounted onto Basic Black.
I'm entering this card into The Friday Mashup which is to use a gatefold card and if you wish to also use numbers.
If you would like any of the above supplies then please e mail me on ails300@btinternet.com. The beautiful Love Letters DP is only available until the end of this month.

Frost White Pine
A quick post today to show one of the cards we made at last Thursday's card class. This card uses Lovely as a Tree and Curly Cute stamp sets.
The large tree was daubed with frost white shimmer paint. Then stamped onto Night of Navy cardstock. The edges were also sponged with the frost white. It's mounted onto Whisper White card. A panel of Night of Navy card was embossed with Perfect Polka Dots and attached to the card base. Seasons Greetings was also stamped with the Frost White Shimmer Paint.
Just to let you know some items on the retiral list are already sold out so if you were thinking of buying anything please order as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
You can order your Stampin' Up! supplies from me by e mailing ails300@btinternet.com.

Gold, Silver and ..... Dimensionals!!
This weeks challenge at less is more is metallic. Mmmm so I really only have gold or silver embossing powder which would fit the bill.
My first card above was using some spares that I'd embossed a while ago in gold just to see what they would look like. The tree from Season of Joy and the bird from Punch Potpourri. I added some leaves, also spares, from the 2 step Bird Punch and popped my gold bird onto Dimensionals. I embossed my sentiment from Occasional Greetings in gold. (This set is currently reduced from £30.95 down to an amazing £18.57! If you haven't already done so you can check out the retiral list on my side bar)
So, showed my hubby this morning and he was "it's OK but not wow". "Metallic should be something with metal", he said. Mmmm back to the drawing board, of course the Motorbike stamp sprang to mind but firstly out of rebellion I embossed in gold something definitely not metal. The leaves form Lovely as a Tree. And here is the card -
I liked all the intricate designs on this stamp and it embossed really well. Of course gold fits into Autumnal which we are experiencing up here. I cut round the leaves and before popping onto Dimensionals, I stamped the same leaf pattern in Versamark straight onto the card blank. I then stamped my sentiment from Occasional Quotes in Old Olive. Here's a close up of the leaves -
My last card is the Motorbike, all shiny metal! I've stamped this before with silver embossing powder and it is wow. This time I decided to highlight the different metal parts of the bike so stamped and embossed it twice. Then cut up the parts I wanted. I coloured a little red onto it using my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker and added Crystal Effects to give some shine. They were mounted onto Basic Black and each panel popped up on some dimensionals. On this photo I tried to show the shine -
The sentiment from Occasional Quotes was stamped in Basic Black.
Hubby approved of this one but why wasn't each part in a line to make up the bike? Sigh! Do tell what you think. I'd be really interested in your opinion.
Thanks for looking through this post, if you would like any of these supplies or anything from the sales list give me a shout on ails300@btinternet.com. I'd be happy to help. I still have 4 places left for my Stampers 6 starting in October when the new catalogue becomes available. There's loads of lovely new goodies in it! x
