Stamper's 6 Elegant Butterfly Thank You's

Hello Peeps.  Staying cosy?

I've got a lovely set of little thank you's to share with you today now that the ladies in my current Stampers 6 Virtual Hostess club have received their parcels.  Aren't these sweet?

I used Sahara Sand for the base then added a panel of Sale-A-Bration's free Sycamore Street paper.  Did you get your free set during Sale-A-Bration?  I love these papers and still have a lot left so no doubt you will see more cards using it.  I stamped a slightly smaller panel of Whisper White with the sentiment from Bloomin' Marvelous (another set that was in Sale-A-Bration), in Sahara Sand.  I then punched out butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly Punch. This panel was popped up on Dimensionals and Viola a super quick set of little cards.

I always like to pop a thank you in my customers bags as I really appreciate their kindness to choose me as their demonstrator.  For my Stamper's 6 group I also pop in a little goody from me.  This month I took inspiration from the wonderful Vicky Hayes and made this little box.  I changed it a little to reflect the supplies I have.  For top and bottom I used a square of card folded and snipped.  Again that lovely Sycamore Street paper comes into play.  Do you see the little tags at the top?  They are using Canvas Creations which is great for punching out either using your punches or framelits.  It stamps brilliantly too as you can see on the little sentiment tag!  The butterfly has been spritzed using Stampin' Up!'s Spritzer filled with water, Marina Mist Reinker and Frost White Shimmer Paint.  So you can guess what I put inside for each of my ladies!  Yep their own Spritzer filled as above and a piece of Canvas Creations so they can try this out for themselves.

Would you like to receive a little gift in you parcel of goodies each month?  Well, I have
  2 places
left in my new Stampers 6 club starting in April.  It's not too late to put your name down.  Check out my Virtual Hostess Tab at the top of the page to see the details.  It is a lovely way to spread out your wish list and you have the added benefit of being a hostess for one of those months gaining the benefits without having to have an actual party.  You can do it in your jammies!!

I'd love to hear from you.  Thanks so much for popping by.  x

Mother's Day Card and some Scrapbooking

As promised I'm showing you today the card we made on Friday at my Sale-A-Bration party.

I was telling the ladies that the inspiration for the middle panel came from seeing a glass jewellery box on display in Marks & Spencer for Mother's Day.  They are all going in to check!  Probably looks nothing like the original as it was from memory.  Next time I'll take a photo when I see inspiration.  Wonder what the staff would think?

Onto the card.  This could be a Mother's day card or a birthday.  We used the Label Collections Framelits to die cut some Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.  We then embossed the Pink Pirouette with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  The frame was popped up on Dimensionals.  We then had fun stamping the middle pieces using stamps from 4 stamp sets.  The bird cage has some paper piercing to hang it from.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out using the Word Window Punch then attached to a Modern Label punch out.  A small Basic Rhinestone finishes it off.

This second card was shown as a simpler example.

Next we made a 6" by 6" scrapbook page using stamps, Designer Series Papers and the little punch from this years Sale-A-Bration.

I've listed the supplies below.

It was wonderful to see the different variations that everyone came up with.  They were all fantastic even though no-one had scrapbooked before.  I now need to make this up into a 12" by 12" page to go into our New York album.  We are sitting in Central Park in case you are wondering.

Lastly a big Hi to Morag thanks for following my little blog!  Hope you have all had some crafty fun this weekend.  xx

Sycamore Street and Vintage Verses

Two card for two challenges.  (You can see the challenges below)

This is actually my second card.  I used the Top Note die cut from first (see below) as the main focal point.  Isn't this paper beautiful?  It's from the fabby Sale-A-Bration set of papers called Sycamore Street.  You can earn this set free when you spend £45 during Sale-A-Bration.  Drop me an email on ails300@btinternet.com to place your order.

I mounted it onto Sahara Sand and used my Paper Snips to trim to shape.  I then attached it to a panel of Summer Starfruit.  The sentiment panel is from Vintage Verses and stamped in Tangerine Tango.  I snipped a banner and then roughed up the edges with my Paper Snips.  I also roughed the edge of my card base.  I added 3 medium Basic Pearls along the bottom.

My second card (actually the first I made!) has a mat of Summer Starfruit then I used the Bigz Top Note to die cut a panel of Sycamore Street.  A second die cut of Whisper White was inserted back into the space.  My far side was a little uneven so I added a strip of patterned paper to cover it up.  I stamped the whisper white panel with the Bloomin' Marvelous stamps.  Clear embossing some of the leaves.  I added the largest of the Basic Pearls along the bottom so they stood out.  I wasn't sure if this was CAS enough for either of the challenges and so created the top card.

Both very different yet following the same two challenges.

I was at my Jazzercise class this morning.  My neighbour runs a brilliant class in the local Village hall.  Today to my surprise one of the songs featured Pachelbel's Canon.  A beautiful piece of music which I had as my Bridal March.  How weird to be doing a Jazzercise routine to it!

Take care, keep cosy.  xx

Here are the challenges-

Firstly the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches
And secondly the colours from CAS- Colours and Sketches - Summer Starfruit, Tangerine Tango, Sahara Sand

A Trio of Blackboard Technique Cards

This is the card I made at a recent workshop.  A bit of blackboard technique which seems to be the rage at the moment.  Using lots of Sale-A-Bration products so the ladies could have a proper play with all the new goodies.

For the one above I used Bloomin' Marvelous.

This one uses Pennant Parade words, Hearts A Flutter and Vintage Verses.

A different direction and Feeling Sentimental with Vintage Verses on this one.  I also showed how you could bling it up by popping the little Pretty Petites on Dimensionals and adding Basic Rhinestones

Once I had shown the ladies how to make the card using an Embossing Buddy to get that chalky look on the blackboard they were left to make up their card using any of the stamp sets.  The results were amazing.  Some preferred crisp and clean so didn't chalk and each card was completely different.

The banners were made from Sycamore Street Designer Papers and cut out with the Hearts A Flutter Framelits.  Island Indigo Bakers Twine bows attached with mini glue dots finish off the banner effect.

I came downstairs today to the smell of cooking.  Wondering what was going on I went into the kitchen to find my Daughter and her Granny making pancakes for Shrove Tuesday.  Did you know it was pancake day?  I would have taken a photo but they were so yum they disappeared too fast.

Happy Pancake Day everyone. x

Bloomin Marvelous Peek at Sale A Bration 2013

Hi Everyone.  How are you today?  I'm exhausted!!  What was I doing??  Shovelling snow!  Hopefully that's it for today.

I have another sneak peek at Bloomin' Marvelous from the Sale A Bration catalogue 2013. Isn't it cute?  I've teamed it up with the Woodgrain folder.  I found that it is such a deep emboss it was tearing through the Whisper White so I opted to attached it to Sahara Sand then run it through the Big Shot.  That worked super.  Have you found any problems and have any solutions?  I'd love to hear them.  I must admit my plates are really needing replaced.

I made a ribbon banner and attached the flowers and butterfly with Dimensionals.  I stamped them in So Saffron and Certainly Celery.  The sentiment is from the same set and punched out with the Curly Label Punch.

There's a few challenges that I can put this card into so here goes -

1. Addicted to CAS which has a code word of Embossing

2. Addicted to Stamps and More which has a theme of nature

3. Dynamic Duos - So Saffron and Certainly Celery

Here's a look at our snowy scene.  Taken this morning.

Thanks for calling in past.  Keep Cosy. x

Bloomin' Marvelous Sneak Peek at Sale-A-Bration 2013

Hope you are having a Bloomin' Marvelous day!!

My card today follows the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

This was also for another challenge, Inkspirational, but I missed the deadline.  Doh!!  Time just got away from me today.  This week was a colour challenge using Black, Dark Pink and Kiwi.  So I used Basic Black, Melon Mambo, and Lucky Limeade.

I've started off with a Whisper White base.  I then made a panel of Basic Black and Whisper White with the top corners rounded.  I stamped the leaves and flowers from Bloomin' Marvelous.  Then stamped another flower and bird and fussy cut out.  They are popped up on a dimensional and the bird has a Basic Rhinestone for his eye.  Adds a little sparkle.  The  sentiment strip is made up of Melon Mambo Designer Paper from the Brights Stack and a strip of Basic Black.  The sentiment is punched out using Curly Label Punch and a couple of Basic Rhinestones to follow the sketch.

It was fun to use some bright colours and a spring theme.

A big Hello and Welcome to my new followers, Stamping Girl and Darnell.  Lovely to see you here.

That's all for me today, happy crafting. x
