It's Been Awhile!

Wow it's been awhile!

Thought I'd share a little project that has taken me probably around two years to complete.  If I'd sat down and just got on with it, it would have only taken about 3 days.  Have you ever had any projects like that?  I have to give credit to my Mum who stood at my shoulder helping me understand the instructions.

I followed a pattern from an Amy Butler book and used her fabric too.

I'm so proud of myself as it's my first major project doing grown up sewing!  Here's a pick of the middle complete with lining and divider and metal clasp thingies.

Did I pack up the sewing machine for another couple of years?  Nope whilst it was out I made a little thingy ma jig for a friends birthday which I will proudly show you at a later date.

It's been hard to find my crafty mojo and for awhile I thought it had completely deserted me, but I think I've rediscovered it.  Making a totally different project has certainly helped.

Take care. xx

Cushions and deals!

We redecorated my daughter's room making it a little more grown up.  All the walls were painted white as it's not a big room.  We decided to add colour with the accessories.  She wanted to have bean bags but as they take up a lot of room we went for large cushions instead.  I bought 3 cushion pads 60cm by 60cm and material but that's how it stayed for several months!

Then whilst my Mum was up for Mother's day and her birthday we got the sewing machine out and ta da we made 3 cushions!  I am so chuffed how they turned out.  This is a photo of the cushions on her cabin bed.

I have some material left over so I'm thinking of making some smaller cushions.  There's no stopping me now!!

And onto these fantastic deals from Stampin' Up! through April.

Each Wednesday there will be a new set of deals.

A bit of sewing!

I thought I would show you a bit of sewing for a change.  I made a hair bobble or bracelet which I've modelled here.

The bobble was cut using the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die and the Flirtatious Fabric.  It was all sewed together attaching a hair band and a large button from the brights collection.

I'm going to try these flowers on head bands too.  I think they look fab and very girly in the pinks.

I also think these would be a big hit at craft fairs.

Fancy joining my Stampers 6?  I'm taking names for a new club starting in October.  This is a super way to be a hostess and spread your wish list over 6 months.  Check out my Virtual Hostess page for more details.  I'd love to hear from you and have you in my club!

Hope you've had a great weekend and enjoying the Olympics. x
