A cute little thank you

This was my little thank you for my Stamper's 6 club the other  month.

I had so much fun making this little treat tag.  I used the treat cups and the Chalk Talk Framelits.  The designer series paper is from the beautiful Park Lane set.  I complimented it with Old Olive card stock and this gorgeous Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon. It makes a little gift amazing.

For the little card I just added some scallop circles and the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners.

I used skittles in my treat cups but I'm sure you can be very creative with what you fill them with.

Have a great day.  xx

Stampin' Up's Something for Baby

Aw isn't this a cute set?  And there are framelits to match, even better!

I've made a little washing line using the Thick Baker's Twine and stamped my Something For Baby in the new In Colours. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners and cut out with the Banners Framelits.

The holidays are just whizzing past.  Loving the warm weather and was even warm today although it rained.

Catch up with you all soon.  x

Zoo Babies Makes Me Smile

Happy Easter!

Have you got lots of yummy Easter Eggs lined up for tomorrow?

Sorry I don't have an Easter card for you today but one for the Less is More challenge.  We are challenged to make a card with a theme of Makes Me Smile.  Now chocolate definitely makes me smile but that's for tomorrow.

Instead I thought about our trip to the Zoo last Wednesday.  My father needed a lift to Edinburgh Airport so I thought I would take the children and add in a trip to the Zoo.  It was quite daunting as it's a 2 1/2 hour drive there and back and I'm not sure of the Edinburgh roads.  However we made it to the Airport and then the park and ride and onto the Zoo with no bother at all.  That definitely made me smile!  Phew!!

Loads more smiles as we had lots of giggles going round the Zoo.  Before the children get too old to come along with Mum (they are 14 and 12), it was great to have time together to share a memorable day.  That makes me smile.

For my card I coloured the lion using Stampin' Write Markers - So Saffron and Peach Parfait and stamped on Whisper White.  I added a few lines of Sahara Sand so he wasn't floating.  This was attached to a card base of Naturals White.  I made a window panel of So Saffron using the Windows Framelits and rounded the corners.  The panel is popped up on Dimensionals.

I decided to make this a birthday card as it will be our great nephew's 1st birthday in May and I thought this just looked so cute!  Itty Bitty Banners and the matching framelits made the sentiment with some Candy Dots to finish off.  Loving these Candy Dots, are you?

Did you see the pandas?  I know you are asking.  Unfortunately no.  They were all booked up!  With all my planning and googling maps etc I didn't think to book a time slot. :(
Just means we will have to return for another visit.

Gorgeous Grunge Birthday

Yeh it's the Easter Holidays!  The kids have two weeks off and I've two weeks off of early mornings.  Double Yeh!!

So this afternoon I grabbed some time and joined in with the sketch over at CASe this sketch which you can see below.  I was a bit daunted when I first looked at this sketch so I went with a fairly literal interpretation.

I used the splodges from Gorgeous Grunge in Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight.  I stamped Off the Grid over the splodges in Basic Grey which I'd stamped off first.  I then added the sentiment at a jaunty angle.  I used Itty Bitty Banners stamped in Summer Starfruit and die cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  Then attached to a Smoky Slate panel popped up on some Dimensionals.  A couple of Candy Dots finishes it off.  The Whisper White is mounted onto Smoky Slate then onto a Basic Black card base.

I'm also going to pop this into Addicted to Stamps and More which has a CAS challenge this week.

I think it will suit a teen male.

It was actually easier than I thought it was going to be so you may see another.

Hope you have a lovely weekend planned with some crafty time included of course!

Take Care.  x

I'm also going to pop this into Addicted to Stamps and More which has a CAS challenge this week.

Feeling Sentimental about wheels

Two posts from me in one day!  This time, two cards for two challenges.

Less is More this week has a theme of round and round and Addicted to CAS has a code word of wheels.

With a first glance at my cards you may think mmmm how does this fit in with the challenges?  Ha you'll need to look closely.   The stamp I've used is the Penny Farthing from Feeling Sentimental.  Honest it is!

On the first card I coloured the wheels with my Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker and stamped onto Whisper White.  I then cut out the wheels.  On the large flower I added petals by punching out Summer Starfruit card stock using the Banner Punch and attaching to the back.  The stem is some green cardstock from my millions of scraps!  I used a Smoky Slate card base and added a panel stamped with the Hardwood stamp also in Smoky Slate.  The panel has the corners rounded.  I chose a simple For You sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners and die cut with the matching framelit.

What's your thoughts?

Onto my second card.  When I stamped the wheel the first time it immediately looked like a slice of lemon.  So I decided to go with the flow and make this card.

This time the card base is Crushed Curry.  I added a sentiment from Perfect Preserved stamped in Calypso Coral and die cut with the Banners Framelits.  I curled the ends with my paper snips.

Once again I coloured the wheel from Feeling Sentimental in Crushed Curry and cut out.  I then snipped a cut up to the centre.  I stamped the jar from Perfectly Preserved in Sahara Stone and fussy cut out.  To make it look like the lemon is in the jar, I snipped along the rim so I could tuck the lemon slice in.  Before doing this I stamped the wheel onto the jar in Summer Starfruit after stamping off first.  Now it looks like you can see the lemon through the glass!  I used my Aqua Pen to add a little watered down Summer Starfruit to the inside of the jar.  I tied Calypso Coral 1/8" taffetta ribbon around the top of the jar.  Then to help ground the image I added a strip of Washi Tape along the bottom of the card from Epic Day.  I slightly rounded the jar and attached to the card with Dimensionals.

Now the big question is - When the world throws you lemons, do you make a g & t or lemonade?

I'll leave you to decide what's in the jar!!
