Thanks so Much Create A Cupcake

I'm joining in the challenge over at FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES again this week.  The sketch is below -

And I've decorated the middle -

Hee Hee hearts are a bit wonky but I think it's cute.

Again I'm using the Create A Cupcake stamp set and still no cupcakes!!  It's January everyone's on a diet. Lol!

My colour scheme today came from my Colour Coach.  I started with River Rock for my flower holder and matched Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist with it.  Not colours I would have picked myself but it comes out cheery and colourful I think.

Cherry Cobbler card base with Marina Mist for the mats.  The strips have the little heart stamp repeated in River Rock.  The main panel is Shimmery White card stock.  The circle of Cherry Cobbler flowers was punched using the 1 3/4" punch then I used the Circles Originals Die to create the matt.

The flower base was stamped and then using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig I added the Marina Mist bow.  It was punched out using the Cupcake Builder Punch.  A Basic Rhinestone gem gives a little added sparkle.

My sentiment is from Pocket Silhouettes stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

Hope you've enjoyed looking today and I can't wait to come visit you too. x

Christmas Sparkle

Well I'm not quite sure how to describe this card.  It fell together out of having a play with my new embossing folder - Vintage Wallpaper.

It's such a rich deep embossing folder I decided to use a rich deep colour with it - Cherry Cobbler.  Using my Colour Coach I matted it onto Night of Navy after corner rounding and using Dimensionals to pop it up.  The sparkle comes from dabbing Frost White Shimmer Paint onto part of the raised pattern.  A Basic Rhinestone in the centre finishes it off.  The panel is attached to a Whisper White card base.  I decided it looked Christmassy so added Holiday Greetings from Sincere Salutations in Night of Navy.

This follows the sketch on Less is More

This is a great sketch to play along with so join in the fun!

A big welcome to Cindy, hope to see you often. x

How to turn a Delightful Decoration into a Vase!! and get your mojo back.

First of all I decided that I didn't want to pack up my christmas stamps and punches quite yet.  So what to do with them?  Well after having a search on the internet, I came across a few ideas and thought I'd try one of them out.

This card uses the Delightful Decorations stamp set and Ornament Punch but the bauble turns into a vase.  Neat huh!!  You can now use this stamp and punch set all year round.

Secondly, what to do to spark up your mojo again after all those christmas cards and gift projects?  Think about colour, it worked for me.  I reached for my colour coach and started looking at the recommended colour combinations.  This one is rich razzleberry, pretty in pink and chocolate chip.  Should have been early espresso but I don't have that ink pad, so I substituted it.  However the main thing is to have fun with colour and you might just surprise yourself with what you come up with.

Happy Stamping. x
