Welcome to your New Home

Here's a simple super quick but sweet New Home card.

I used two new sets from the annual catalogue.  They are very special sets because they are in the hostess section.  I love so many of the new hostess sets this year.

I cut my card so that the front was shorter than the back.  Then stamped this funky tree and birdies from Nuts About you.  I then stamped the house on the inside from Life's Adventure.

There's a super deal on until the end of October for Hostesses.  If you have sales of £200 then you receive a free stamp set - Good Greetings.  Sentiments are always a boost.

I have 3 places available on my Virtual Hostess Club starting in October.  I'm sure if you've looked at the Autumn/Winter catalogue you'll have a wish list as big as mine!  The Hostess Club is a great way of gradually building up your stash and you get to be hostess for one of the months. Sound good?  Drop me a line.

Aviary New Home

Hi All.

I was asked to make a new home card and reached for my retired Aviary set.  The birdies with their cages are so cute.

The challenge at Less is More this week is a touch of turquoise.  I've used Stampin' Up!'s Tempting Turquoise.

I stamped new home using Outline Alphabet & Numbers in Sahara Sand.  I then tore some scrap paper and sponged Tempting Turquoise.  The little cage from Aviary was fussy cut out as was the owl.  Basic Rhinestones hang my little cage from the E.  My card base is Naturals White.

I'm renaming CAS - cute and simple!!

A big welcome to my new follower ELizabeth.  Thanks so much for joining me in my little area of blogland.

I only have 1 place left in my Stamper's 6 starting this month.  To join the fun drop me a line as soon as possible.

We had a busy day in town today.  Why is shopping so exhausting?  It was so nice to come home and chill out with some crafting!

Thanks for visiting.  x x

Everything Eleanor New Home

Hi Folks.  A wet day here, best stay in and craft.

I've made a card using a new technique to me.  I have to stay I didn't find this easy and it's not perfect but I'm pleased with it anyway.

I used a Bashful Blue card base with a Whisper White panel stamped with Everything Eleanor in Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue.  I stamped a second panel in the same way and to start with tried using my Timeless Type Alphabet Junior Sizzlits (retired) to cut out.  Didn't really work.  All back to front upside down etc.  So I re stamped another scrap.  Then separately cut out the letters in Whisper White then placed over the stamped scrap and re stamped onto the letters.  It means it doesn't match exactly and I'm sure there is a much easier way to do this.

My colour combo was chosen so I could pop this into Dynamic Duos  - Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue.

I'm also going to enter CASology this week which has a cue card - Word.  I'd been struggling to think what to do for the new home card that I needed but then I saw this and knew immediately I wanted to try out this technique.

Some news to pass on from Stampin' Up!  A super new promotion which puts more products in your stash!!  Come have a look -

A big Hi to my new follower Ji Hye and to a returning follower The Crafty Laydee.  Thanks for your visit.  Look forward to visiting you too.  x

Aviary New Home

Well what a snowy day we had yesterday - 3 to 4 inches in my estimation!  However no more has fallen and we still have a lot of sunshine.

Onto today's card.  I've followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches  -

I've been needing to make a new home card for awhile and finally this one came together.  I've used a crumb cake base.  The patterned papers are from the Brights Stack and the mats are Rich Razzleberry.  I used a strip of Pumpkin Pie for an accent.  I then stamped the little birds from the Aviary stamp set in Pumpkin Pie on Whisper White.  I stamped a bird cage in Rich Razzleberry with a little bird on top and cut out then popped it up on a couple of Dimensionals.

I've only got 1 place left on my Stampers 6!  If you would like to receive a parcel of goodies each month then check out the Virtual Hostess Page on my top bar and get in touch - ails300@btinternet.com.

That's all from me today apart from to say Hi to Linda, thanks for following! Hope to see you dropping by often.

Thanks for visiting and keep warm!! x

Snow showers and a new home

Hi all. Super quick post today.

This card is for my neice who has just moved into her first home.  I thought I would combine it with the LESS IS MORE challenge which is one layer week with a theme of snow.

So here's how I made it.  Early Espresso card base.  I then rollered with the Neighbourhood wheel (now retired) in Whisper white and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I added snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes and then using a white gel pen I added some fallen snow onto my street.

I hand wrote New Home as I thought it went with the style of the drawn houses.

We woke up to a white wonderland this morning but thankfully it was only a dusting.  Keep warm. x

Just Moved by Loads of Love

My husband commissioned me to make a card for a colleague who has recently moved into a new house.  So I dug out my retired stamp set Loads of Love which has the perfect accessory for a new home card.  It gave me a fantastic opportunity to do some colouring which I love.

He hasn't seen it yet, as he is away at the moment, so I'm hoping for a good reaction.

The card base is bashful blue teamed with pacific point.  I've used patterned paper from the designer series set - Celebrations and from the brights pattern stack.  The sentiment is also from the accessories set.

I decided to decorate the inside too -

Thanks for looking. x
