Hot Diggity it's your birthday!

Hot Diggity Dog it's your birthday!

Here's a cute little card for someone special.  I've used Hot Diggity Dog, Age Awareness and Birthday Basics Designer Series paper.  Oh and check the bling on the doggy's collar!

For the design I've followed Less is More sketch this week. It was fun to follow the sketch as the old mojo really needs a dust.

I liked the idea of the doggy walking by with the balloons floating above and thankfully found this balloon paper in my stash.

Have you had a chance to look at the new catalogue yet?  It's brimming with loads of new lovely products just waiting to inspire you.

Take care. x

You Rock using Stampin' up!

You Rock!

Just saying cos you're here visiting me!

My card today is for Less is More using white space that's not white!

The card I've made started out differently in my head then evolved.  I'm very pleased with the end result but during the middle of the process was quite dubious.  Does that happen to you?

Here's the lowdown.

Start with a card base of Cherry Cobbler.
Cut a panel of Crumb Cake the same size as the front.  Punch out 3 little stars from the corner using Itty Bitty Accents.
Add freestyle paper pierced pattern around the edge.
Distress the edge with my Paper Snips.
Attach a panel of Cherry Cobbler the same size as Crumb Cake top panel.
Use Star Framelits to cut a large star out of top panel.
Cut a smaller star for insert.
Attach top panel with Dimensionals
Use the punch to add a silver star to middle.
Add Basic Rhinestones to the smaller stars.
Stamp sentiment from Crazy About You with Night of Navy.

I love using Cherry Cobbler. It's such a deep velvety red. Very lush and it goes very well with Crumb Cake. And no white used at all!

Hope you like.

xx

Polka Dot Bow Ties

How simple is this?  Bish Bash Bosh and one masculine card done in record time!

I made these sweet little bow ties using the Bow Builder Punch.   The patterned papers are from a retired neutrals paper stack.  The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations and stamped in Basic Grey. The mat is Very Vanilla on a card base of Basic Black.

This is perfect for Less is More this week which has a recipe of polka dots.

A little reminder that tomorrow is the last day of Sale-A-Bration so grab yours whilst they are still here!

Look what my son made this evening.  Ninja gingerbread men!  How cool are these?  His sister helped with the icing.  Unfortunately I can't have any.  :(

Party Pants for Less is More

Party Pants is a new addition to the Sale-A-Bration stamps.  You may have noticed that there were some limited edition stamps in the leaflet, well this is one of the new sets only available until end of Sale-A-Bration.

If you like sentiments then this one could be for you.

I've used it very simply here for the Less is More which is one layer week with the focus on the sentiment.  And for one layer the Whisper White Thick card stock is just fab.

Here's the run down -

I stamped the balloon and string in Wisteria Wonder.  Then stamped the sentiment in Elegant Eggplant. It fits perfectly.  The tassle is stamped in Perfect Plum.  The confetti was stamped off twice in Rose Red before stamping onto the card.

I then reached for my new favourite tool.  You have to get one of these!  My Wink of Stella Brush!  I got the clear so you can still see the colour underneath.  I added the glitter to the balloon, hassle and confetti. It's so easy to use and so precise.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Techno! Techno! Techno!

"Techno! Techno! Techno!" That's what my little robots are saying as they walk across this birthday card.

I've joined in with the Less is More this week which threw me a real challenge as the theme is technology.
After much scratching of head I thought I'd use this little image from Boys Will Be Boys as there's been a lot in the news about artificial intelligence.

My card base is Basic Grey and I've added a panel of Silver foil embossed with Chevrons.  I then stamped a couple of robots in Basic Grey stamping off first to give a lighter image.  The sentiment was stamped onto a little piece of Basic Grey. For my main focal robot, I stamped him in Basic Grey and coloured him in Real Red using my Stamping' Write Marker.  Then the fun part, I covered him in Crystal Effects.  He's so shiny and 3d.  I left him to completely dry, overnight, then cut him out and attached him with some Dimensionals.

Hope you get more of an idea from this pic.

This was so cool to make.  I love the way the Silver Foil takes to the embossing and the crystal effects gives such a glossy look.

Hope you've had a great weekend and thanks so much for your visit.

Hot Diggity Dog!

Hot Diggity Dog!!

Not so hot here, it's snowing today.  Not as bad as some areas of Scotland, more a dusting.

"Diggity" is the nickname we give our dog, Jess. because she likes to dig in the garden.  I think it would make a cool name for a dog.

I made these little cards for my Virtual Hostess Club to say thank you for their orders.  Of course it's using the Hot Diggity Dog set where you can mix and match your doggies.  I've got mine balancing a present of a bone on his nose.  The sentiment "just fur you" is also from the set.  Stampin' Up!'s Gorgeous Grunge provides the ground for my doggy.

I'm going to pop this into Less is more for their friends week. Our doggy is so friendly she comes and gives you a hug and is truly a four legged friend.

Here's our furry bundle now to be called "Princess" Diggity!  Look at her thinking she has every right to be on that couch!

Stampin' Up!'s Sheltering Tree

Good Morning.

Whilst it's snowing outside, I had a quick side trip into the crafty space and made this card for Less is More.  It's the dreaded one layer week and the theme is New Beginnings.

I've used another newbie from the spring/summer catalogue - Sheltering Tree.  This set has loads of options.  There's the bike, a rake, a swing, blossom, leaves and four sentiments to go with them.  You could do a seasonal set of cards or just mix and match the elements.

I've stamped the tree off the edge in Soft Suede.  The tree looks fantastic all bare but for the theme of new beginnings I added some Pistachio Pudding leaves on the ends.  They're my new buds.  And like a lot of people at this time of year the bike is for the start of new beginnings and a new exercise regime.  The bike is stamped in Basic Black and Real Red. The ground is stamped in Crumb Cake.  I added the sentiment in Real Red.  I used a Crumb Cake base for my card and I'm really pleased how the little scene has come together.

I felt I should be adding touches of white to the tree in view of the scene outside!

Hope it's warmer with you.  x

    Happy Birthday Lotus Flower

Rushing in at the last minute for a card for this week's Less is More challenge which is a colour challenge. The selection is Black, Metallic plus one.  I've added red for my lotus blossom.

As the challenge closes very soon, I'm going to pop this in and update with all the details later.

    So see you soon. x

    Hi I'm back.

Did you notice that I'd used some new goodies from the Spring/Summer catalogue and also from Sale-a-bration?

There's lots of yummy new goodies to explore and if you spend £45 then you can choose a free item from Sale A Bration.

So here's how I made my card. I started with a Whisper White base and added a mat of brushed gold.  The Whisper White panel was punched at the corners using a circle punch.
I thought the stems from Painted Petals looked a bit like bamboo so I stamped first in Basic Black then again in Versamark and embossed in gold.  The lotus blossom is made up of 3 stamps, each one is numbered and has a marker to make it easier to line up.  I used Cherry Blossom. Real Red and Strawberry Slush.  I'm looking forward to experimenting with different colours.  I attached some Basic Black ribbon to add drama.  Happy Birthday is stamped in Basic Black from Crazy About You.

It's was fun to dust off the old crafty corner and play with my new goodies.

    Have a good evening. x

    Ornamental Pine Christmas Wishes

Another card for this week's challenge over at Less is More.

Love this colour pallette and it was fun to use it on Ornamental Pine.

I've started with a Marina Mist base and stamped the branch in Island Indigo on the base card and a Very Vanilla panel.  Then placed a Soft Sky mat beneath the panel. I stamped another branch in Soft Sky.  The ornament is stamped in Island Indigo onto Soft Sky and punched out with the circle punch. For the top I used Silver Glimmer card punched out using one of the flower from Itty Bitty Shapes (retired).  The sentiment is stamped in Sahara Sand.

So cold here today.  Had to put the heating up!

    Keep cosy.  x
